There appears to be another crashing glitch in S/V, this time with Ogerpon:

The steps required to cause this crash, are unlikely to happen in a competitive setting, so GF probably won't patch this bug.

I wonder if I just have good luck with glitches because I never experience the super weird ones when playing games like this. No super stretchy bodies, no falling through the map, no t-posing trainers or anything like that. I think my game crashed maybe twice, and that's about it. It makes me wonder how frequent they really are, or if I'm just oddly lucky and manage to avoid the most egregious of bugs.

I never could get into BW despite loving the visuals, music, and story. I know a lot of people defend it exclusively using gen 5 mons, but I just don’t like a lot of the designs and that ruined the game for me. But I recently started a randomized run of Black and am liking it a lot more (though I’m also emulating it on a big screen with fast forward, so it’s not the most fair comparison). And 3/5 of my team so far is gen 5 anyway, I just did the bare minimum amount of randomizing to make older Pokemon catchable.

I personally think it was a neat gimmick and fairly refreshing. There are also a ton of non-Unovan Pokemon in the post-game. If it bothers you enough, try Black 2. That's got a solid mix of Pokemon from all generations throughout the entire game. I just finished the fifth gym and I'm running Magnezone, Lucario, Azumarill, Leavanny, Gigalith, and Crobat. So, just two Gen 5 mons.

That's one of the things I like about gen 5, it gives the region some personality. You can't even get a Pikachu in those games without transfering or events, which is just too bold not to respect. I prefer it to gens 6 and 7 where you have to go out of your way to catch mons of those generations, there's a stupid amount of Alola mons that can only be found in a single route with a very low encounter chance, like Togedemaru, Mareanie or Dhelmise.

I can respect what they were going for, but I still don’t like it in practice. I’d be okay with a 50/50 split of new vs. old, or even 75/25, just don’t completely drop all old mons for the entire main game. XY is an improvement in that regard, but it’s still going from one extreme to the other.

In TCG news, Paradox Rift came out and it’s had an odd affect on the meta. Roaring Moon ex decks are proving to be annoying online (somewhat helped by the TCG Live devs giving a somewhat-decent deck out for free via the game’s Battle Pass) while Iron Hands ex is giving Miradon ex/Flaaffy decks a fairer prize trade for Stage 2 decks.

Oh, and a couple of Secret Illustration Rares from the next special set may have been leaked like some past Secret Rares were (in other words, they were stolen off of the packaging line), we’re getting Shiny versions of Mew ex and Tera Dark Charizard ex.

I’m not exactly pleased by this since TCPi was doing pretty good with keeping product in stock but this will just cause scalpers to strip stores down to the bone.

You would have to be extremely naive to think Gamefreak are going to do more than bare minimal for this piece of shit, they will pump and dump another shitty DLC and that's that, they're moving on to the next game. In case you haven't noticed, they couldn't even be arsed to add any voice acting in a game where they managed to give us a (bland, generic and dead) open world, so why should they bother with the monumental task that fixing this game's issues would be?

And that specific glitch (the Paradise Protection Protocol battle glitch) was fixed with the games’ v2.0.2 update, future patches will no doubt bring new glitches/bugs and GF will try to fix them when they can.

If you’re talking about the games overall performance issues that’d require GF to remake the game from the ground up.

Pokemon sv is so fucking broken. Pokemon are spawning in the wrong areas now, roaring moon does not belong here

Roaring Moon (and Iron Valiant) not appearing in Area Zero’s main cavern was apparently caused by a glitch affecting Pokémon with spawn probability rate of 1, said glitch also negatively affected how Pokémon like Sinistea and Charcadet would spawn and it was patched in the v2.0.1 update.

If you needed a reminder on just how not-better this series is gonna be getting. For reference, Sword and Shield have sold about 26 million... their entire 4 years on the market.

But wait- didn't SV have a killer opening weekend? 10 million sold within the first 3 days? So they've only sold about 10 million more within a year? Hm...

How is the game right now in terms of bugs? Does it still lag constantly?

Gamefreaks entire bug staff seems to be solely focused on stopping bot trading right now and pushing out the next $30 dlc to sell you access to more of the Pokémon Dex they purposefully didn't Include in the base game.

Blaine's goes over it a bit in his new announcement giveaway but they added an extra generated Mon check for Mew, Magearna and a few others out of the blue for reasons.

This is the Pokémon company in 2023, trying to ensure you don't get access to Pokémon you have no way of obtaining through any means necessary. Bug fixing is the last thing these Jews are thinking about.

At least this isn't as bad as another pokefan game I saw, Phoenix Rising or something. It had a youngster model, except it was a tranny youngster so it was a "Youngster Zoey" instead of a "Youngster Zack". There were also two dudes having a gay marriage and all sorts of other cringy shity, /vp/ had a blast and doxed the lead dev behind that mess(of course he was Swedish, why wouldn't he be?)

American region are unironically whiter than the Euro ones, which makes this hilarious. If you count Orre, I think there is literally only one in the entire region and he's in an optional side area.
Editing a sprite sheet is banal anyways if you have the right tools, so it's not like you can't edit out the nigger. Ditto with textboxes, gender select screen might be harder, and there is probably more pozz waiting for the players.
Not worth it, imo. At this point, I would rather just play BW1 or 2 again, or one of it's romhacks. I think I heard of one that basically remakes Gold/Silver in that engine, so if it's out there, that's all you really need.

Voice acting literally adds nothing, modern voice acting is garbage enough to detract from what is on screen. Adding voice acting would hamper/reduce what content they can put into the already barebones games.

Nintendo voice acting is especially awful. I’m genuinely wondering how adding voice acting to Mario and Zelda sounded good in any way. (And yeah, I know Mario technically had voice acting before, but not full sentences.) Any kids game is better without hearing obnoxious voices.

Not found, sadly: Images of Gav(Dev/Lead of the Project) and all the various hilarious screencaps from their discord, including them admitting to shilling the game on /vp/, calling 4channers a "bunch of pissy manbabies", tranny and LGBT circlejerking as well as Gav's reaction to being doxed in the thread in real time. Note the similarities to Fallout Frontier with the 7+ year development period, how the devs shilled the project and then cried when 4chan mocked them back.

I'm sure someone can clue you in on the drama or the missing images if you go on /vp/
Edit: Forgot to mention that jannies got really pissy after the devs were bullied at a certain point and started banning people mocking the devs or the game. Jannies are trannies, what else is new? Either way, once people stopped taking the piss or were banned for it, the game fizzled out and nobody talks about it anymore except for a quick chuckle

Other boards too sometimes have artwork request threads and if you don't save them, it's lost forever. (Unless you ask people for their collections, which I've done I think once.)

I believe nyafuu are your typical discord anime avatar troons, and this was the result of them falling out. I don't know the details but I do know they filtered "PreciousLeaf" from search results, which is hilarious when you look how that cow ended up.
This is why you always use an archive site or even a full page screenshotting tool to capture everything, these 4chan archives are bound to shit the bed eventually.
