gen 2 SNORLAX would be op with normal being effective against anything.
Everybody has access to Return and Dark-types usually have paper-thin defenses.
Lore-wise, dark Type should be strong against normal and Poison should be strong against Bug.
Steel was a great defensive typing, before they got nerfed in Gen6. The advantage against fairies doesn't equal the loss of two resistances.
I understand Ghost being neutral, but not dark.
The only reason Dark isn’t more pathetic in gen 2 is because all of its weaknesses at that point were even worse.
Honestly, I’m a huge fan of how Fairy turned out as a typing, and an convinced that it’s implementation burned through what little remained of TPC’s ability to design games after gen 5 (which was always good, even at the time)

Good video, troon worship at 38:09
I like how tranny worshippers always need to lie and rewrite history.

Like, yeah, 90's Japs hid a "non-binary" character in a children's video game on Nintendo's Game Boy Color and we just never noticed. Trailblazing indeed, that's totally what happened and not the delusional twist of a brain rotted activist.

Mystery MAN eusine convicted of grooming children into touching his Pokeballs, resisting arrest and calling officer Jenny a TERF.

>Pimanrules
A heckin' science type that brings out mental illness politics out of the blue while playing a children's game, huh? Let me guess, he looks something like this IRL

I am playing Scarlet and naming all of my Pokemon names that end in -ler. Most are fine, Makuhita had an issue, another one wouldn't let it end in "titler" because of tit. But my god, it won't let me name my Veluza "Veluler". Why? Why is that an unacceptable name? Is lul banned in Pokemon? What the fuck.
You should see how bad it got in Gen 5, if you had a Froslass on your team, you couldn't trade it without a nickname on the GTS because it had the word "ass" in it's name. Here is a full list of pokemon this applies to
You will have to get creative with some of the names, nothing more you can do.

At some point, they started censoring "bad" words in all languages regardless of what your native game is using, so I can only presume you ran into a slur or something from some random language. Some examples I can remember off the top of my head are/were(?) "Spike" being banned because pik apparently means dick in German and any variation of "Viola/Violet" etc. due to containing the word for rape in some other language.
That second one is extra funny since Kalos itself has a gym leader named Viola....

On a more positive note, I am actually enjoying Pokemon again. In the honor of now late PreciousLeaf, I decided to resume my SuperGold97 playthru, and by sheer coincidence I left off right around the 8th gym leader, who just happened to be Red.
I already talked about the typing changes, but the entire romhack is as close to all the leaked beta content as it can be, it's essentially that but finished and turned into a proper game. Can't really describe it, other than it feels like playing an alternative reality Gold that we never got. I am enjoying the new pokemon, much better designs than most of the ones in Gen 8 and 9.
I very much recommend it if you enjoyed oldschool GB titles, or are a nerd about the Spaceworld leaks like I am. This is the most enjoyable Pokemon game I have played in years, and one of the most fun ones overall, too. There is just enough new content for it to feel like a completely different game altogether, but at it's core it's still Pokemon Gold, albeit leaning even more into the idea that this is a sequel to the original Red Blue titles than the final game. I think the best part of the game is that you actually get to travel to every single part of the first 4 regions that make up the universe's equivalent of Japan: Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh, which make up the island of "Nihon"., it even has the Sevii Islands equivalent as post game. The areas are super condensed, but it sells you on the journey of traveling all over the pokemon world that no other game does, not even the newest one that went "open world". Without spoiling the plot, the rival and Team Rocket also feel much more organic, like them more than what they did with the final game.

Anyways, I am about to reach Mt Fuji, which is this game's Victory Road. Once I catch Suicine, I will be on my way as my team are more or less what I want them to be already, and I don't see the gang changing up at this point in time.

*Momokin the Miltank
-Rock Smash
-Defense Curl
-Return
-Milk Drink
I think I tried to name her Momokun, but my finger slipped. This one is surprisingly decent, it uses it's already great bulk and becomes a physical wall while whaling on the enemy with Rock Smash, which reduces enemy's defense with every hit(50% chance to do so, at least). Milk Drink and Leftovers ensure that I can outlast any physical offense from the enemy. I had my doubts at first, but once I beat Red's Snorlax, that promoted her to a permanent member of my team. Bonus for her being even fatter than the final Miltank, which really fits her role as a wall.

*Birdie the Pidgeot
-Swift
-Fly
-Steel Wing
-Mud Slap
Pretty inoffensive choice, the pokemon has weak stats but is available early and I am too lazy to train anything better. It does it's job at taking care of fighting and grass types, and Mud Slap can be infuriating. Mostly used as a means of fast travel than a fighting pokemon, however.

*Sessler the Aquarius
-Safeguard
-Surf
-Bite
-Icy Wind
The Nihon water starter. Good special attack and defense but lacking physical stats and speed. Good all rounder with Safeguard taking care of the annoying status problems. Here is how he looks like btw(best picture I could find)

*Tricky the Bomseal
-Megaphone
-Surf
-Flame Wheel
-Encore
My favorite new Spaceworld pokemon and one with a very unique typing: Fire/Water. This would not be officially used until Gen 6, and even then on a Mythical pokemon nobody owns. This typing makes Bomseal really interesting to play with, as it can be used in situations where a normal water or fire pokemon would not be feasible, encore also lets me fuck over a pokemon trying something clever with me. This is a traded pokemon, so it gains extra XP as a cherry on top. BTW if you are wondering what the new Megaphone move does, it lowers the enemy's special attack by one stage, keeping it around since I don't have anything better for him and because I like having signature moves on their respective pokemon even if they aren't all that useful. Here is how he looks like

*Democrat the Ampharos
-Thunder Wave
-Dynamic Punch
-Thunderbolt
-Attract
There is a lot of really good electric types in Nihon, but I decided to use Ampharos because he has access to Dynamic Punch. Thunder Wave and Attract can really screw over a pokemon, but oftentimes I like to just play it simple and use Magnet boosted Thunderbolts that are already amplified by his natural high special attack. Dynamic Punch is for those special occasions, and Thunder Wave/Attract help with making that 50/50 attack more safely.

*Granite the Golem
-Headbutt
-Rollout
-Defense Curl
-Magnitude
Rock types should be used on every team due to their effectiveness, but most regions usually only have Geodudes. That makers Golem the safe, but also boring choice for most playthrus, with little wiggle room and a predictable playstyle. This one is no different, however I did manage to switch out my Rock Slide and Explosion I usually run for Defense Curl + Rollout combo that instantly turns Rollout into a max power move that continues for several turns. Very powerful when used properly, but also very weak to grass and water types. Godsend against electric types which otherwise I don't have a good way of dealing with. Magnitude will obviously be replaced with Earthquake, once she learns it.

Remember to SMASH THAT DISLIKE BUTTON whenever any hint of tranny worship comes up in a video. Reminds me of that Kirby lore channel that went out of its way to imply that two of the sisters (non-biological) in Star Allies are in a lesbian relationship because… reasons.

Alright, you’ve convinced me. I’m playing a Red randomizer on and off on my RG Nano, and I’ll play this once I’m done.

Most games play like ass for obvious reasons, but Pokemon actually feels pretty good, especially with making R toggle fast forward. I just got the 8th badge.
