I'm so mad, Gumshoos is supposed to be a Pokemon that looks like a detective with a cabbie gatsby hat but because of it's colour scheme everyone thinks it's Trump and the memes won't stop. I hope it's shiny is good.

I read somewhere last night on tumblr that the leaks are character reference sheets for the anime which makes a lot more sense considering the difference between it and the actual game reference sheet, so it's actually plausible. I think we all wanted it to be fake because of the monumental disappointment that is Litten. we could only dream

Wrestlecat almost made me change my starter choice.

I'm still going for the owl though because the owl is awesome.

Hopefully I can find someone to trade me a standard vulpix or something. I mean, the ice one looks awesome (I swear to god, if they give it guvking Snow Warning) but I wouldn't mind a regular one to fall back on.

It's a pity we're on an odd-numbered gen, or I'd be hoping for a new eeveelution.

I'm sure it'll be easy to get a standard Vulpix via friends or the GTS. Hell, me and my hoarding issues with the games leads me to have at least one copy of every Poke'mon sitting in a box somewhere, so I could always breed the suckers and hand them out to anybody wanting them; got Poke'Bank, too, so transferring them would be easy.

If they do happen to come out with another generation of Poke'mon and include an Eeveelution, I'm personally hoping for a Dragon-type one. Been hoping for it for years, and with the last Eeveelution being Sylveon, I wouldn't mind getting its Dragon counterpart.

I really wish they released an Eeveelution every generation instead of every other generation. Only 8 of the 18 types are covered, they need to pick up the pace!

Also, this is pretty interesting. When I was looking up the types on Bulbapedia to make sure I had the 8/18 right, I noticed something. Bulbapedia lists the types that are associated with Physical moves on the left and Special moves on the right:

The only Special type that hasn't had an Eeveelution is Dragon. Hmm...

So, I caught wind that more news on Sun and Moon are supposed to drop on the 12th. Maybe more Alola Forms revealed, or expansion on the general gameplay?

I've noticed a lot of people bitching about how Poke'mon "isn't Poke'mon" anymore, either, for the sheer fact that there aren't your classic gyms and gym leaders. Personally, I like it; it's not the same formula they've been using on the main games for the past 20 years, and it's nice being able to go into a game and know you're not going to be trudging through 8 gyms in one region, plus an elite 4 and champion.

But that does make me wonder what they'll do in place of the E4 and Champion; we have the island leaders and Kahunas to make up the 8 gym leaders we'd usually have. Will there be a fifth island where you fight the equivalent of the E4 and Champion? Or is that going to be removed as well? I also want to know if there's going to be the usual bad-guy team floating around in this game as well, and what their goal would be on the islands.

I've got too many questions for this game. November can't come fast enough (:_(

Yeah, a lot of people come out of the woodwork whenever a new Pokemon game is announced to bitch about how Pokemon has gone off the rails. A lot of them are Genwunners, or people who hate every Pokemon game beyond Generation I. They inevitably appear whenever a new Pokemon game is introduced to bitch about how the new Pokemon are stupid and/or uncreative (because all of the Kanto Pokemon are paragons of originality and elegance) and how Pokemon "isn't Pokemon" anymore.

But that does make me wonder what they'll do in place of the E4 and Champion; we have the island leaders and Kahunas to make up the 8 gym leaders we'd usually have. So has it actually been confirmed that they're deviating from the "8 Gym Leaders + E4 + Champion" formula? I was under the impression that the island challenge is a sidequest. But after looking it up, it does seem it might replace the Gyms...
One aspect of the unique culture that has developed in the Alola region is the island challenge, an adventurous rite that involves traveling through each of the four islands. This event helps young people grow into fine Pokémon Trainers. As the main character of Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon , you yourself are destined to attempt this island challenge.

Also, the leak that may or may not have some truth to it said that it’s your job to set up a Gym in the Alola Region.

If all of this is true, I think it's a great idea. My only concern is the length of the game; if there are only four Gym/Island challenges, that means that the main story would be much shorter than previous games. Hopefully they'll introduce more gameplay elements to make up for it.

For everyone in America it seems as though Volcanion is finally getting released in October at Gamestop.

Edited because I thought it was next month

I doubt they're getting rid of the gyms. Nothing in the trailers so far says the island challenges replace the gyms, and what little was showed of it in the last trailers seems to imply the challenges involve more than just battling a leader.

Okay so the Ice Vulpix reveal has solidified now that yes, I am going to get a 3DS and get Pokemon Moon, after skipping out on XY.

WOW! Old Pokemon with new Types! And Ice Vulpix! Vulpix was one of my favorites of Gen One, and I am very happy to see this, and to see the whole concept! Cant wait to see more of this.

Definitely going for that ghost bird(because I dig the typing) and Ice Vulpix. I wonder if all the alternate types are going to be from gen 1. I can see people demanding ar Farfetch'd one.

I've always wanted to see another Pokemon game that had more mature elements to it kind of like how Pokemon Colosseum did. I really liked how that game depicted a wasteland region where the closest thing we've seen to an actual crime syndicate in the Pokemon games was abducting people's Pokemon and turning them into rabid beasts and where the protagonist was a silent anti-hero whose intentions for fighting his former employers was unclear. It was a very drastic change from the other core games.
