Notes on Final Team:
-You can never have too many Dark-types in this game. Lucky me!
-Vaporeon/Umbreon=OP Wall that carried me through the Elite Four. Bonus points for having one of the best custom sprites in the entire game while also not being useless af.
-Same goes for Absol/Arcanine, but instead of being a wall, it's a truck that runs everything over if it can get at least one Swords Dance off.
-Something weird happened with the game's randomization feature which led to me having a surplus of Vulpixes. This is why two of my final team members are Ninetales fusions. That, and they look cool, especially the Houndoom one. The stats on them are really good, too. The Jolteon one would've actually swept the entire Champion's team if it hadn't gotten oneshotted by a rain-boosted Hydro Pump.
-While it looks cool, has great stats, and moves, my Tyranitar/Charizard fusion didn't help much during the late-game due to it being a bit slow, and having a crippling Water-type weakness that unfortunately a lot of trainers exploit, especially during the Elite Four. Putting Sand Stream on it was also a bad idea too because it just did more harm than good because of constantly having to switch out.
-While it looks utterly amazing, has fantastic coverage, and stats, my Roserade/Typholsion fusion didn't due much during the Elite Four either due to just being very frail. It was also kind of a bitch to get, so keep that in mind if you want to get one yourself if you decide to play this game.

Overall Opinion on the Game: Game's fine. Not as great as people are hyping it up to be, but it's fine. It gets a little boring once the initial intrigue of the fusion mechanic wears off, but if you want a unique pokemon fan game that's decently challenging, this is for you.

to add more fun, a randomizer would open up a ton of possible fusions you otherwise wont see.

laughed my ass off to this

Well I finally finished the Pokédex in Scarlet, I only needed six more Pokémon (Ceruledge, Eiscue for some ungodly reason, Iron Bundle, Iron Thorns, Iron Valiant, and Miraidon) to complete it. I traded away three spare Ursalunas to get half of 'em (Ceruledge, Iron Bundle, and Iron Thorns), the others needed some Pokémon I had on-hand or to transfer in (Eiscue needed an Alcremie, Iron Valiant needed a Hisuian Lilligant for some funny reason, and I had to trade away a spare Shiny Roaring Moon and slap a Booster Energy onto it to get Miraidon).

My only complaint is that the Miraidon has a VERY high chance from one of those Twitch giveaway channels (OT matches up with a Mexican Twitch channel that specializes in that stuff, ideal Tera Type and Nature, at Lv. 100, etc.) but since it passed the GTS's checks and entered my HOME account without issue I'm not particularly worried about getting the banhammer for it.

Well, now Shiny Hunting in Scarlet's gonna be fun come the DLC.

EDIT: And after a few minutes of making this post I find a Shiny Croagunk in a group, I have a feeling that that my Shiny luck will probably end up like PLA's did (in other words, I'll have to transfer some spare Tera Raid 'mons to home in order to make room for more Shiny boxes).

get your orders in.

i actually think these are really fucking cute, despite the retarded tranny shit. also, like, the concept is retarded on the basis that you could just shave the tip of a male pikachu's tail to make it look like a female one. and you could literally just cut the entire tip of the tail off if your pikachu is ftm. like you don't need to do the retarded tailgrafts.

i can't believe i'm even thinking this hard about something so retarded

Huh, I always assumed Pikachu's tail was hard bone/cartilage. It never occurred to me it might be fur.

But how can you make money off the mentally ill if you don't put a tranny tailgraft on it?

Well, after posting earlier I proceeded to find two more Shinies (Forretress and Makuhita) yesterday. I did a Bug-type Sparkling Power hunt today and found two Shinies (Slither Wing and Venomoth) and proceeded to find a surprise Shiny Pawmo immediately after.
Didn't Ash's Pikachu do something like this once?
I believe he did it during the BW ere, specifically during the near-end of the Unova seasons.
Yes, they were trying to sneak into an all girls gym, (Erica's if I'm remembering correctly) so Ash and Pikachu crossdressed.

Make of that what you will. 🤔
True, but that was before female Pikachu's tails were changed to be heart-shaped in Gen IV.

Do not expect any more pokegold builds right now. What I did up to that point was optimisations. I might comment out some more unreferenced code, make TMs infinite-use and find a better was of skipping over the Daylight Saving Time dialogue, but I honestly cannot do much more until The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk get released.
I might look more seriously into the pokecrystal16 project, which expands indexes to 16-bit values, bu that would break compatibility with a lot o flashcarts and emulators. I might expand tha to 9-bit indexes, but that may cause alignment problems. Even then, I might only expand the move indexes, since adding all of the old Pokémon might be too much, whereas I frequently ran into a lack of room regarding moves.

The Pokémon Trading Card Game Online's servers were shut off this morning and someone streamed the game's death as it happened.
Now we're stuck with the craptastic game that is The Pokémon Trading Card Game Live.

in unrelated occurrences, I spent my procrastination time on building teams for every generation and Hisui today

6kalos_team.png7alola_team.png8galar_team.png9hisiui_team.png10paldea_team.png

I tried to stick with new Pokemon (outside of Hisui) as opposed to regional variants and attempted to stay away from stuff like Legendaries and UBs/Paradoxes/etc, but with Paldea I didn't have enough non-Legendaries that I liked to compensate and in Alola I didn't have enough non-Variants. Ah well.

I like how these came out- though doing the gen 6+ ones made me remember how dogshit the new maker is. Hardly any trainers from before gen 8 to choose from and for some reason random Pokemon don't have their official artwork listed as options when you choose them (Pumpkaboo doesn't, at the very least). Feels half-baked and is super annoying to navigate. Doesn't even have an option for badges...

Anyways, if you wanna make your own you can do so here: https://tcm.pokecharms.com/
The old card maker stops at gen 6 outside of Pokemon (it still has menu sprites for 7 onwards) whereas the new maker has every mon in home renders, menu sprites, and (sometimes) official artwork. They're both very different, but I personally prefer the old one.

if you watch the cartoon for any other reason than burning time or seeing meowth i hate you personally
Honestly, rewatching the first season twenty-five years into knowing what we know now has been real interesting because it's considered "dated" now, but you can see through the cracks a lot of world-building that sadly goes obsolete. Even watching early character interactions are pretty fun because Ash wasn't considered the "Chosen One" at first, he was a total rookie whom people got frustrated at but his determination and learning curve got those same folks to respect him.

I mean ffs Prodessor Oak in the beginning was definitely senile but he's actually dismissive of Ash on top of being a bit senile/flighty. It's almost like he wasn't exactly all that close with him at all--which is why Pokémon 4ever is such a weird concept to have in canon (and it's really not, but apparently all movies are considered canon now like wtf) because his attitude towards Ash doesn't suggest that in the slightest. No way he believed in Ash from the start, he was more on Gary's side until the Orange Islands when he started becoming more buddy-buddy with Ash and therefore more supportive. Though I think he was friends with Delia before then, it's been so long, I need to get further into the rewatch for that confirmation.

Also hearing how the dub sounded in the beginning is intriguing to me, because the VAs haven't gotten comfy yet and James was first played by Ted Lewis until episode eight (probably because he just couldn't quite get a whiny, crying James to sound right so Eric Stuart took over, but as compensation he became Giovanni so all's well that ends well), and Nathan Price had a neat spin to early Meowth that sadly didn't carry over to Maddie Blaustein, but she played him so well that listening to Nathan's performance is almost alien. I wonder why it was Nathan left, exactly.

apart from misty, oak, jessie and meowth, the dub is horrific
every character keeps emoting through sighs and groans, and i can't suspend my disbelief as most sound overly cartoony

as for the story, it feels formulaic like hanna-barbera, but i guess you wouldn't have much time to develop a unique story every episode if they had to be produced semimonthly or whatever

overall i think the subbed version is better because the stuff onscreen feels more in-place, plus they had cool songs like meowth singing

I had no idea this existed until now, thank you for the link
It looks so much better for gen 6+ than the new maker too

I can't read moonrunes so I couldn't fully understand what the site wanted from me, but I got through it well enough and managed to make this
Not a fan of the 3D models but that's pretty much my only complaint
Love it otherwise
Thanks for the link dude

the card generator made me realize how fucked up the pokemon introduced in gen 6 and 9 were.
It was easiest to get a full roster in gens 1, 4 and 5, I could've had a second party filled without hestiation whom to add to the team.
Kalos and paldea have roughly a hand full of good mons, especially in kalos i dont like this, cute clean washed design.
You know, those cartoonish eyes from pokemon like litleo and Helioptile. They look like toys you'll get from a candy grabber.
