I think making them actually rare is better though. Someone having a full team of legit shinies should be like hitting the lottery or require autistic dedication.
It's worth noting they're added several other autismo mechanics in that shinies becoming easier are probably meant to offset. Like Marks and Size Variance.

Getting a Shiny with a Title (let alone a good one), a chonker shiny, or a mini shiny, or a three-segment shiny are all ways to flex your hunting skills.

Wait, have people actually modded the 3D era games now?
Eeyup. People apparently modded quite a bit of Sword and Shield and plenty of Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. They are in the process of Scarlet and Violet.

I would rather do a demake this way, though:
I think I can work my way around the Pokecrystal decompilation...

Putting down a sort of reduced Pokédex, I remembered @Kari Kamiya's comment here:
An Ancient Jigglypuff, and yet no Ancient Alakazam or Ancient Gengar? Jigglybros are eating good.

I am not doing anything concrete with my idea yet, but my new Paldean Pokédex would have an Cient Alakazam and an Cient Gengar.
However, that would mean tha the number of Ancient and Future Pokémon would be unbalanced.
What would make good Future Pokémon? I prefer those that are the last stages of 3-stage evolutions.

Re: all that shiny talk
I used to find shiny pokémon cool
then after finding out how autistic people on the Internet are about hunting for them, I started feeling indifferent towards them
after checking out VGC out of curiosity and to find out what high level competitive looks like, I got appalled by shinies

the issue here is the animations caused by the shiny sparkles and the fact that the ingame timer is fucking retarded
it is a competitive advantage to have as many shinies as possible to waste as much time as possible with those sparkles
as if raising a normal competitive team without injection or other cheats wasn't autistically tedious enough, you get a tangible advantage by using as many shiny pokemon as possible

I was hoping for total conversions. :(

Wish there was an official way to have that "faster battles" one for practically every game, though.

future clefairy would be pretty sick. golurk would also be a really good fit, maybe sigilyph too

Did nobody pick Quaxly? Can't find any on the starter link code trades, is all cat and croc.

Hmu with a PM if you have a spare Quaxly, I can trade you one of my shinies or something else you want. This bloody duck is grinding my gears!

Whitepill for the day. Even people who are retarded enough to buy and play the new games have high enough standards to reject the diverse and inclusive abomination that is Quaquaval

I will say I like the things they've done to make wild shinies more usable though, because it felt bad catching one in the wild to realize the IVs and Nature were shit.
The hardest usable shiny Pokemon to get would probably be those with 0 IVs in specific stats (mostly speed). I think the only other improvement to the game could be a system that lets you set IVs to 0. Black Bottlecaps maybe?

I agree though on liking how easy it is to catch a shiny and make it usable. Hell, you can even do absurdly specific Masuda hunts and the tools available to you can make Pokemon like this possible:

Unless you can provide me with examples of the half a second animation actually deciding matches in tournament settings, this really just comes across as petty bitching. Just sayin'. More often than not, unless both teams are straight up stall, you don't even come close to hitting the time limit. There should be a setting to turn it off, however, especially in a tournament setting.

I'd like to see Future versions of:

-Feraligatr
-Blastoise
-Victreebel
-Exeggutor
-Scolipede
-Crobat
-Yanmega
-Kabutops
-Dusknoir

As for Past Paradox forms, Dragapult is at the top of the wishlist.
