It doesn't even look like a Pokemon, Digimon, or even a Neopet.

It deadass looks like something out of Dragon Quest. It even looks like Akira Toriyama fucking drew it himself.
It looks okay in my opinion. Like some friendly blob that was in a NES or SNES game and someone DeviantArt drew it on their Ipad.

As mentioned earlier I've been playing Pokemon Go with a spoofer for a few weeks now, and I hadn't played since it's release in 2016 before that, but if others have experience with it... are shiny pokemon like absurdly common? I might be speaking from the most convenient place possible as PCsharp let's me play in crowded New York as well as adding a feature that let's you know if nearby Pokemon are shiny without needing to manually check with an encounter, but the numbers I am seeing are still so high. Recently there was some event with a lot of Scythers and I no shit found like 10, to the point I might actually have to release some. During Sun & Moon I Masuda methoded for a shiny Scyther which was female and I wanted a male, so I did it again and got another shiny female and quit... too bad I didn't know it'd be so easy in the future.

It's my conspiracy theory now that I have experence with how you transport to Pokemon Home that it's intentional. The amount of the transporting resource it takes to send a shiny is like 30x that of a regular pokemon, and the microtransaction cost to get more of that resource without waiting days is astronomical.

They’re definitely far more common than in the main games and Community Days only make them even easier to find.

The placeholder fakemon art used on the makio leak site was a much better design.

It may be a bit generic, but at least it's not hideous.

Meet Bellibolt! This Electric-type frog is Iono’s favorite and it really is quite cute.

You guys realize that this thing is basically Pokémon's take on a basilisk right?

I think it's main inspiration is the cut Jhoto frog from the unused Pokedex for Gold & Silver.

I mean they already got some other Pokémon from that thing like the Farfetch'd & Girafarig evolutions. I also wonder if that is the final evolution or not?

I don't see what's so "out of place" about Bellibolt's design. Don't we already have pokemon that are pretty much amorphous blobs Like wigglytuff, Azurmarill, ditto, and so on?

I actually disagree that it's a bad pokemon design. I think it's an abomination that's lures kids into a false sense of security so it can paralyze them with a hug before dragging them to its nest hidden in the ball pit.

I like Bellibolt. Not like he's going on my team, but he's still a perfectly cromulant Pokemon.

Iona is gonna have me open worlding it though.

Oh you don’t know about the chimera fossil mons? Funny stuff.

Yup, they exist because you stick 2 incomplete fossils together and revive them at the same time.
They're horrific abominations in constant suffering and I love them.
Not to mention that some of them have been broken as shit. They have a move based on their head that hits harder if it attacks first (they have middling speed, base 75/55) and they work with Strong Jaw, which fishhead can have. so Dracovish gets to shit out something like 230 bp moves on anything with the misfortune of being slower than it.

Choice Scarf Dracovish is terrifying. I'm not big on Choice items because I'm a indecisive autist who doesn't like being locked into a move, but Fisheous Rend is so powerful it doesn't matter if the target resists or not. Click the button to win 90% of matchups.

I'm still disappointed though that the "real" versions of the fossils weren't part of the DLC. An abandoned fossil lab dungeon with the returning fossils inside, then ending in a battle against a completed Galar fossil would've been sick.
