WOW!! p13500 of value! It'd take you at least 20 in-game minutes to accrue such a bevy of formidable first-aid!
If these were gold bottle caps or a full raft of nature mints I might be tempted, but this is weaker than the 12 Quick Balls and a fucking Meowth you got for pre-ordering Sword & Shield or even the little Garchomp outfit you got for Legends: Arceus.

It’s because Smeargle causes a lot of problems for competitors thanks to Sketch (and to some extent Moody), remember that Dark Void had to be retooled to ONLY work with Darkrai thanks to Smeargle being an absolute pain in the ass during Gen VI, the breeding boons that Smeargle offers are good but were kind of made irrelevant thanks to how Egg moves are transferred in SWSH (and hopefully SV).

Also, Moody was changed in Gen 8 to no longer change accuracy or evasion stats, although that was moot because Smeargle isn't available in SwSh. Outside of competitive play, and maybe having a money farming moveset (Happy Hour + Pay Day) or legendary hunt moveset (False Swipe + Soak + Spore + Gastro Acid), how popular is Smeargle as is?

The Dark Void nerf was way overkill. It's fine that only Darkrai could use it, but all of a sudden Darkrai had a signature sleep move that worse accuracy than Hypnosis. Mythical Pokemon should be OP if they're going to ban them from comp anyway like they have until the last few seasons of SS.

Off topic, so feel free to ignore, but I've been trying to get some shiny's, and holy shit, how to autists have the patience for this? Matsudo Method and Shiny charm, and I've been at this shit for a week with no luck.

Oh, and since I‘ve gotten bored of both SWSH and PLA (the former moreso) I’ve picked up Ultra Moon again and I’ve been trying out SOS chaining, I managed to catch a Shiny Skarmory that I’ll be transferring to SWSH for funsies.
Smeargle was still used as a utility ‘mon in Gen VII but it swapped out Dark Void for Spore, I’ve also seen it used as a Sticky Web lead.
I tend to avoid Masuda Method+Shiny Charm breeding unless I have to, my go-to’s tend to be methods that can be kind of fun (SOS chaining, Ultra Wormhole, Massive Mass Outbreak hunting, etc.).

The real autism of Shiny hunting, are players that play on multiple consoles at a time, especially streamers that do that. Here's a clip of such setup, and someone actually finding a Shiny this way.

Having a Sketch Pokemon again wouldn't be too bad given 2 conditions: lock out some moves like Spore and make it so the Pokemon has a normal move set that can get complimented by 1 Sketch move rather than having 4 Sketch moves. Obviously Spore could be locked to Grass types, which only Breloom is as fast as Smeargle and compensates by having crippling weaknesses.
With that horrible segway, I look forward to having Breloom back in SV. If relearning move works like Gen 8 you'll no longer have to raise Shroomish to it's Lv 50's to get Spore and Loaded Dice + Technician Bullet Seed looks terrifying. Just need a multi strike Fighting move to abuse it more since Sky Uppercut was removed.

I've never had the patience, despite the PokeAutism. Except for gift shinies, I've only ever come across three in my entire 20+ years of playing: a Sableye in Sapphire, a Drapion in X, and a Terrakion in Alpha Sapphire, and two of those were in odds-boosting areas of the game. Breeding for IVs and Hidden Powers was also too much of a pain in the ass; I can see why so many VGC teams have obviously hacked-in mons and everything on Showdown is allowed to be theoretically perfect.

Downloaded the Pokémon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire ROM and it's like I can't believe I nearly forgot how awesome this game is, and how easily you can lose yourself in it. I have no idea what happened to our physical copy (I swear I was the last one who had it, though), so I can't relay what my high score was on both fields ('cause I rock at pinball lol), but I remember how much of a big deal it was to be able to catch the bosses, and be able to get Jirachi and Deoxys. Pretty sure I was the one who got them, but that's just me being a braggart.
But man, it was probably "easier" with the cartridge because the three of us would play it and so between the three of us, we'd be catching Pokémon in no time. I have a really long way to go with the ROM being by myself. But meh, means I get to chill to the background music with headphones on, it's something I really did miss about the game when the cartridge went missing.
Love how chunky and Kirby-esque Corsola is in this game lol.

I have a really long way to go with the ROM being by myself.
