Even watching playthroughs with him is annoying, although not to the extent of actually playing it yourself.
 
It's a shame as the worlds were OK, not X and Y level because X and Y and gen 5 had really cool worlds. Sw/Sh was dragged so far down by the cutscenes, that it would have been forgivable if it had payoff but the whole Rose plotline fizzled.

Gen 8 had some really cool designs too as did 7 but I wish GF and Nintendo would really push competitive VGC. Staple a battle pass to it and some outfits/alt move pokemon and it'll encourage a lot more VGC players.

I assume next year we will get a remake of black and white, which actually would be good the b/w story was great. I am playing through Arceus still and on biome 4, I just defeated Arcanine and Arceus is a fantastic game. Characters are a bit meh but overall a really solid game and very refreshing to play. I assumed it was B/W for the remake cycle because R/B will get either a sequel or a remake for the 30th anniversary in 2026.

I can see the next Legends game being based in Johto and then after Kanto for the anniversary.
 
Forgive me for I have sinned this past week, I've been playing Let's Go Eevee for shiny hunting and to break the chain of monotony that is PLA's Shiny hunting. Catch Combos make it as easy PLA's Mass Outbreaks but you also get the added bonus of being able to sit in one spot and wait until the Pokémon you're chaining pops up as Shiny. The only downside is that it's a pain in the ass for rare spawns like the Starters and you're forced to ignore non-chained Shinies that pop up or run from Shinies that are about to run away if you want to preserve the combo.

TPC and Game Freak have a “If it’s not broke don’t fix it” policy regarding VGC (although they will fiddle around with various rules for the first competitive rotation), we haven’t gotten a battle pass for the main games‘ online PVP play and I doubt it’ll happen anytime soon. If the that International Challenges that took place a few months ago were any indication then all TPC and GF have to do is alter the participation prizes to get people coming. Well, that and addressing the rampant hacking that‘s present in VGC but that’s for another time.

As autistic as this dude is...he's not wrong. I'm kind of tired of seeing Pikachu, Evee, and Charizard in fucking everything. Hell, even Pikachu clones need to stop. The only reason people cried over Dexit was because they were upset they couldn't recreate the team they used in Gen 1 for the millionth time.

I want Legends: Kyurem personally so it can tell the story of the war that divided Reshiram and Zekrom. Or the story of Zygarde ending the war in Kalos. As much of a Johtofag as I am, I think that Unova and Kalos have better foundations for Legends games. Any region could make for a fun Legends game though, except for Kanto on its own and not paired with Johto. Getting to chase the legendary beasts in a Legends style game would be fun.

The best thing GF can do to deal with hacking is making getting good Pokemon easier. They've been on a good track since Gen 6, but even with the raid reset glitch making grinding easy but tedious it's still so much easier just to set your EVs with PkHex and mark all your stats as Hyper Trained. BDSP was the worst in a long time for grinding, but it was a remake without any official competitive mode so it's somewhat understandable.

I don't think so. The FRLG remakes added a post-game adventure he had on some island. He must have traveled Johto too, he had an Espeon and ended up in a cave there, so they could just fill in the blanks like FRLG did to some degree.

To be fair I don't there's much GF can do anything more to make it easier to get tournament-ready Pokémon outside of lowering the minimum level for Hyper Training down to 50 and allowing Hyper Training to select any IV level rather than just setting it to 31.

That said, the companies involved with hosting sanctioned tournaments could do a better job with scanning someone‘s Battle Box for genned Pokemon. If Kaphotics of PKHeX fame could find a hacked Galarian Moltres in Wolfe Glicke‘s team then I don’t see why GF and TPC couldn’t develop a tool that could do the same and require TOs to use it when hosting VGC tournaments.

There should be a Pokemon Showdown type mode unlocked after you catch every Pokemon or something.

Not really happy about the choices in clothes all being some kind of school uniform, but whatever. More hats is fine since most in SS looked like trash.

No one mentioned the state of Quaxly's evolution's pompadour so nothing all that interesting.
