The game still feels incomplete and empty for the most part, but... I'm pleasantly surprised I guess. Its not perfect and still needs more content, and it has quite a number of issues (especially the awful boss fights), but it fixes so many other things and removes so many annoying mechanics I always hated (although its kind of mute considering the lack of online play) that I really hope they stick and they add more improvements to future games or dlc. The graphics mods also helped to make the landscape way more pleasant and less lifeless which makes me wonder why GF didn't do it like this in the first place while modders were able to improve on the visuals in less than a week.
I only hope GF adds a more vibrant world with these fixed issues and more features for the next game along with making breeding eggs and raising porkymen less annoying and more immersive. That and they remember to add methods to bring pokemon in from older games and allow you to catch every pokemon again. Because the 3DS getting fucked and online stores continuing to be short lived scamfests, are just gonna make this crap even more annoying.
Overall, probably the only game I've shown interest in since B&W, just wish it wasn't so empty or drab looking and that this hopefully means they'll never do anything like Swish or XY again, but that seems to optimistic. But the little things are appreciated along with the throwbacks to obscure lore.
