So I’ve been really slow going with the game’s plot,
This game has a plot?

I've been in the first area for an entire day. Have not even unlocked Crimson Mirelands, wandering round and catching everything is too much fun.

I do wish the area Pokédex had the blank spaces the full one did so I could tell how many in an area there were and how many I had left to get.

Also I hate Alakazam and Trees now.

Overall it's getting good reception yes? As long as its not a fuckimg sword and shield level disaster.

Is Jynx in? I heard something about a "lady-mon"?

It ended up being a new form for the Gen V Pokemon Lilligant, which as a species can only be female similar to Jynx.

And the only non-Gen IV Pokemon(and those related via evolution) in the game that neither appeared in any version of the Sinnoh Dex or received new forms/evolutions/group members are the Paras Line, Vulpix Line(includes the Alolan form as well), and Spheal Line. So Jynx is not in the game.

Aaaand Game Freak went full retard and locked the starters and the legendaries. Again. Why do you hurt me like this, Masuda? Were shiny starters or legendaries responsible for the death of his cat or something?

In japan It's second only to animal crossing in terms of opening weekends for a switch game.

It outdid the diamond and pearl remakes, and seems to have hit pretty big world wide.

Gives me hope that game freak may realize that they have the beginnings of a winning formula on there hands here.

Up the graphics a little bit (it doesn't need to be photo realistic or any nonsense like that... but like comeon those mountain textures are BAD, and the pop up distance is way to fucking short...) and refine a few things, and they'll have a mighty cash cow with which to keep the money flowing for another 25 years.

I beat the story not too long ago, maybe 2 days ago and I had a lot of fun playing it. If they ever make spinoff games go back in time, I hope they make similar games but in different regions.

There’s two reasons why they do this:
1: to make sure they don’t have to have two versions of every cutscene.
2: to stop people from endlessly repeating important cutscenes over and over and don’t tire themselves of the games cool moments.

You can catch starters just in the open world in this one, so the effect is smaller than it seems at seems at first, as well.

But what if I want to start the game with a shiny starter? I just feel like the opportunity should be there for people who like to challenge their own patience.

A Legends: Necrozma set in an open version of Alola, with the ability to freely Mantine surf between islands would be neat.

Or how about a Legends: Zygarde set in ancient Kalos?

They had a long day.

Kleavor is fucking badass and I'm glad they made him so strong.
Yeah, he’s been great.

You know, a lot of the new Pokémon variants I was kinda iffy on at first, but I think in game they look really good. I’ve been trying to catch and evolve an Alpha version of all the story-important Pokémon I’ve seen up until this point. Basulegion’s a real bitch to get since Basculin are “run away” types, but I’m told there’s an easy alpha one in the next region. About to go fight Hisuian Electrode and he’s definitely next on the list.

Found 3 shinys and caught 40 alphas before finding a single cherrim or cherubi.

1/10 "It's Ok"
I got one really early on and didn’t see them again until the fourth area.

Then I got a Mass Outbreak of them today.

Here's hoping they put a pseudo-legendary evolution for Dunsparce in the DLC.

Not related to Legends: Arceus, but I just wanted to post this here:
