I don’t own the game.
Oh yeah neither do I. I don't play video games like some NERD.

Look, you can enjoy Legends Arceus all you want, but the moment you use this retarded reddit meme is the moment you lose all credibility.
And you. You leave Fwiffo alone. It was funny!! Almost as funny as how bad Pokemon Arceus is. OH SHIT SON!!!

I legitimately do not understand why you are here.

Do you hate the game, are mocking people who hate the game, are you trolling, or are you just retarded?

I fucking love Pokemon games which is why I am so harsh on how shitty and by-the-numbers they have become. It's a goddamn insult to the paying customer and you demean yourself by accepting Game Freak's slop and hand waving it away with "m-maybe senpai will make a better game next time."

The other day I gave a recommendation if you're up for trying out a different series that more or less expands upon Pokemon's mechanics in ways that I think Game Freak should seriously consider. Granted the two series have some drastic differences, but if you enjoy the fundamentals of Pokemon (catching and training up teams of fighters, exploring a world, battling and trading) you will probably really enjoy this game as well. I'm up for discussing ways to fix Pokemon so that it can grab onto its wasted potential of the last 15 years. Arceus takes some steps in the right direction but once again Game Freak only dipped their toe in when they should have taken a flying leap. But to that end I suspect that Game Freak's development capabilities are minimal and that they should be requesting more help from Nintendo. After all, their major partner has had great success in recent years when it comes to shaking up franchises that aren't half as stale as Pokemon.

Ok

Question to those not retarded: do you honestly think there will be DLC for this game? I know they set the precedent for SwSh, but have the spin-offs typically had dlc? The dex is very small, but again, spin-off, so I’m not sure what to think.

LGPE and Legends are sorta spin offs sorta mainline, I think alot of the shit will be introduced in later games like what happened with overworld mons, these strange takes will probably replace mainline remakes aside from the usual ILCA game. Also with the amount of positive reception the game is getting it would be smart to use dlc to bide time, possibly having a more traditional trainer filled area as testing for how you could adapt this crap into mainline. Plus, while I don't put much stock into leaker fags, Khu has been consistently right about everything with Legends even if he is a Chinese schizo and he said this shit will be getting dlc so I'm like 80 percent sure it will happen.

So my brother did get the game after all since I knew he had preordered it, but no one's started playing it yet. Should get on that, then.

Anyhoo.

If Cressilia or Darkrai isn't in it, there probably will be some DLC over something dumb, like the world deleting itself again.

You can get Darkrai in-game. Though you apparently need to have save data from BDSP. Shaymin can also be obtained if you have Sw/Sh save data too.

Anyways, I just read that BD/SP have currently sold around 14M copies and should overtake the Hoenn remakes to be the best selling Pokemon remakes so far. And that's despite all the criticisms and complaints against them. The games really do just print money at this point.

Yep, and legends is outselling Sword and Shield time aligned as well. They will absolutely do DLC to milk it.

Ok

A lot of Nintendo games are getting DLC, saw it with ShSw sure but also BotW and some other crap games.
Nintendo has always been a greedy company and DLC has always been a way for a greedy company to sell parts of the game that should've been in for a little extra.

DLC is coming, it'll be some wormhole or timetravel shit and expand the pokedex to probably 350 total.

According to leakers (one who in particular has a good track record) there will be DLC announced in a few months. Leaker says that 158 Pokémon will be added to the game, bringing the in-game total number of Pokémon up to 400.

They're both in the game:

I'll add in on the DLCscussion that, this game has drawn comparisons to Monster Hunter very justifiably. and the classic way to expand a monster hunter game is to add a biome and add some new mons to the existing biome. Heatran's island is only in a pre-formed state in the Cobalt Coastlands, but they could go south to the sinjoh ruins or just make a new area from scratch.

Edit: pure spitballing here, but they could do Sinjoh area... where the southernmost point is the Bell Tower and not-yet-Burned Tower. Give us some ancient versions of Suicune, Entei, and Raikou.

Yes, they'll be DLC. SWSH got it and most other Nintendo Switch games get it and GF were kind of hyping this game to be the focus rather than BDSP. It would make zero sense to not give DLC to a game they are putting effort into especially since SWSH shows DLC ok and good.

Cressilia is in. As is Darkrai. However you need BDSP data to get Darkrai.

So I’ve been really slow going with the game’s plot, not because I don’t enjoy it, but I just really like running around the map, collecting all the spirits/Unown/material farming/Pokédex/ect. So I only just unlocked the the 4th area today. And at first I was convinced it was going to absolutely suck, based off the first little bit. Between the starting area having no new pokemon, the cave being super short, followed by another section of no new Pokémon, I was expecting the map to be a very linear hallway or something that was more streamlined because I was following the one guy from point to point.

But then I got to the ACTUAL opening up of the arena and it’s now my favorite area so far.
