I’ve been going through Hurricane Dorian damaged belongings this week. Found this magazine 100% intact. This was interesting to me because it was my first time seeing a spread of all the new Johto Pokémon back in 2000.
But there appears to be some kind of beta Celebi here that I haven’t seen elsewhere

Honestly, while I was disappointed at first, the hints were all there. Besides, this new direction i still a big, more open break from the standard Pokémon formula.

Pokémon Clover is a great ROMhack but then you realize that the community is complete ass to the point of being blissfully unaware they're basically parodying the communities of shitty ROM hacks like Unbound and Radical Red and putting themselves at the personable level of Gen 2 romhacks like Crystal Clear; where either the community is completely know it all and toxic or just blissfully unaware of their actions, filled with Smogoons, troons, nobodies who want to develop shitty romhacks with no balancing on their fakemons, etcetera etcetera. And guess what? It's all just you "taking 4chan too seriously".

My favorite pokemon is Typhiloision or Incineroar. Fire stans forever. Personally, the gen 8 games are butchering what was a perfectly good RPG. The world design is completely fucked and the pokemon designs are crap. Since the company has matured and changed hands a lot of the little things in Pokemon are gone. It's almost time to find a new game to play.

I wish it does but they just shrunk the scale of his horn to fit the pallete maker. Other than that the designs of Gen 2 mons have been the exact same since pre gen 2 anime. Ken really cared about the scale and shapes of the designs after the anime was started. I hate the anime, but it did make Pokémon design super ubiquitous.
Pupitar is just upside down tbh. It's the old Ken drawing. Larvitar is actually the different one and it's the same coloring, basic design and shape. Literally seems to be the side by side image that inspired the down-to-top angle we got from the sprite designer. He couldn't fit the whole horn in so he shrunk it with perspective tricks. Ken never drew another mon from a straight angle again because of this. He always did it as if you were looking at a Mon from the ground thereafter.

Lol Celebi looks like a smug Teletubby, good find. But that's more based off the sprite for sure. Celebi's GSC sprite is just so odd to the point most of us thought the pinpoint mouth was a nose. So much so that the Crystal sprite's mouth has moved down a bit more to avoid that.

Now I'm going to be hearing Celebi as vinesauce's tinky winky voice for the next couple of weeks
I love how they seemed to spread the new ones out prior to gen 2's release, I know that it was an unintended wait due to G/S's delay and probably meant as a tie in with how soon they showed some of those pokemon, but I really think it helped build intrigue as to what the next games were going to be like

People are getting mad at GF for not making PLA fully open world despite them never promising us one. I hate to sound like a GF simp but this time the fans are the ones at fault hyping it up to be something it never was.

I mean to be fair the editing for the trailer did make it pretty vague about the structure of the game, I understand editing can be a bitch and marketing is going market a game anyway way you can but I can understand how someone would be confused by the initial trailer
I haven't heard anything pro or anti dex since the sinnoh games dropped trailers, personally I just think they should just make a stadium 3 and have that be a live service game compatible with home that can be the hub of the meta and possibly free up mainline to balance more shit to not be worried about handling that along with casual multiplayer and single player. but since TPC hates money I don't think that will happen.

Its because the pokemon community is way too large that it's full of dozens of sub communities that all want different things. Again if any other company released non-sports games annually at the rate pokemon does it would have burn out, but because of the community's size and scale it never really happens. It's why they should just have the annual releases cater to different aspects/developers take the reigns (one game be a smogon fags wet dream, another be a game in the style of Arceus, another more simpler game in the style of BDSP), that way burn out with working only with pokemon can be mitigated and each game can be fresh while serving a different purpose to the last release.

The switch has at least 10X the power of the 3DS. It is equivalent to a mid tier PC for it's size, this is also horseshit. The switch could run a significantly more powerful engine with less filters, better (and less hardware consuming) PHysX effects, larger and more Pokemon-esque worlds, yada yada. The switch has the power to change this RPG series mechanically. Why is it just less of a Pokemon game?
