I noticed (I might just be very autistic examining every part of this statement) but the wording in the header is using the plural form of possessive as it is a blanket statement saying if anyone is breaking our copyright don't worry about it we will look into it, and they seem to be implying calm down we know about other games but we don't think they're breaking any copyrights. I remember fans being extremely hyped over gen v being more plot based compared to previous games only to feel angry and betrayed when it ended up not being what they hoped for. This is why people should never hype things up before they come out.

I had the opposite reaction, everything I read back then was gushing over how good the story was and I felt I was getting fucking gaslighted. It's why I quit Pokemon at the time and never got around playing BW2 to my pleasant surprise years later.

Did the game even show any reason why Lysandre wanted to kill all undesirables making the world ugly? Medieval Kalos had a war bad enough to merit the use of doomsday weapons, but the current day Kalos doesn't have glaring flaws that'd upset a whiny misanthrope so badly as far as I remember.

I think the base build and shoot cute things is tapping into a niche that Pokemon couldn’t fill even if they wanted to. And honestly Pal World is probably going to get people to look at the next Pokemon game that have not looked at one since 1998 if at all

Palworld's marketing hinged on being Pokemon with guns and slavery to be successful, but gameplay-wise there is nothing it did that Pokemon couldn't do. Obviously Game Freak will never let you shoot Pikachu or force it to work in a sweatshop, but building a base, gathering resources and travelling through an open world with the help of your Pokemon is not an outlandish concept. A lot of what Palworld did is what Legends Arceus tried to do but couldn't because GF were so afraid of going too far they didn't realize they didn't go far enough.

It's been pointed out - Nintendo is one of, if not the most, litigious companies in the world. Granted this is because Japan doesn't have a Fair Use law, so Nintendo is making sure no one steals their shit, but the point stands.

So if Nintendo's reaction to Pal World has been "Yes, it exists, stop telling us about it", beyond deploying the lawyers at the dipshit who literally made a Pokemon Mod for Pal World? Completely faithful remake by a third party is the most recent.

And there is a history of people wanting certain types of games and then not really buying them so making them honestly bad from a buisness point of view - the battle sims, Colo etc

And there has been a wonderful history of GF restricting the Dex in the majority of the games the players really like.

Someone left a reaction sticker on that old post where I mentioned the hack that wa supposed to demake SV on the GBA.

Speaking of demakes, th is the 41st build of my hack.
Unfortunately, saving, Pokéball animations, disobedience messages, and post-defeat Leader messages are broken. That may be cause of me accidentally pushing some stuff in WRAM. I also need to update the copyright date. I need to fix those in the next build.
However, I cleared some more unused space, decapitalised some more, fixed th efficiency of Mystery Gift, undid a change in the intro, and rearranged the cry code. Other details include:

• Declining a battle offer in the Trainer Hall will not make the Trainer Hall unavailable that day.
• Experience boosts should be doubled instead of added by half.
• Venonat can be found in the Bug-Catching contest.
• Golduck is now Psychic and Water.
• More items can be gotten through Mystery Gift.
• Headbuttable town trees should have their own encounter table.
• I added Facade and Exaflop, that super-splash move that @Disc mentioned. They are unavilable a the moment, bu they should work.
• Leaders should now give items instead of HMs. (A variable that should stop Prof. Oak from telling you not to use an item in the wrong time was probably the cause of my WRAM problem.)

I also managed to get working evolutions based on low happiness. What I did was look a the code of evolutions based on high happiness and copy the code.

I did not know what jp c did, but I could guess that jp c compares c to the minimum required value of happiness, then prevents the evolution if c does not have a high enough value. What I did was the opposite: just make a variable that was just over the intended maximum happiness (30) then have the code continue to th evolution if c does not have a high enough value. Of course, since this could would automatically jump to the proceeding branch, I would have to move th Everstone check first.

Putting this code, however, ended up with an error from a lack of space, hence I got rid of trade-based evolutions altogether. They already were able to evolve through the included, available Link Cable item in an way.

While I did this, I decided to make trading completely unneccesary. Version exclusives now ar extremely rare ncounters. Starters and fossils now are normal encounters. Legendaries are now trades. I had to add a couple of more trades and jam in a few others, though.

Am I the only one that thinks most of that issue could be solved by being able to skip the animation? I like it, I find it derpy and charming and very much in line with the charmful stuff GF tends to do…but I don’t need to see it a billion times.

Even the sprite based games had stuff in it that you had to watch frequently if you ‘grinded’ and my god, fun at first but boy does it get tedious fucking fast.
