Well, I already know that Violet is the version I'm getting cause it's mon is the one that turns into something that actually looks like a motorcycle instead of a rocking horse.
 
Open world usually sucks but for Pokemon it makes sense, they've always been somewhat open and it fits well. The Pokemon are horrible as per usual though, and the human designs have hit an all-time low.

More than likely it's because the "male" looks like a female design in every way. They basically drew a girl and put a male sex symbol next to it because otherwise people would think there's no male player character.

They have added a Crystal Aura and Sparkly Skin onto the Giant Pokemon.

In 1995, I thought that was just lazy when the Power Rangers Metallic Armor was just glitter.

The Franchise’s embarrassing need for these gimmicks is getting tiring.

Why the fuck does the red lizard have tires if it just runs around instead of turning into a bike? I like being able to challenge the gyms in any order but no level scaling is retarded, kinda defeats the purpose of challenging them in any order, and the new gimmick looks retarded, but hey NIGGER WOOPER, I'll wait until the DLC is out so I buy the "full game" or buy the third version if they go back to that

It may be implemented poorly--I fully expect them to fuck it up--but the idea gels with the whole concept of roaming around looking for Pokemon and challenging gyms. Even the first Pokemon was a bit open in the order of which gyms you tackled.

Their base designs don't matter. You're going to completely change how they look once you get the game.

I hate this though. This is what worried me about character customization since it was introduced.

I was worried they would eventually make the protagonists into boring blank slates.

I like having specific main characters instead of just self inserting myself. Character customization is fine and if someone wants to self insert, that's also ok, but if it affects having cool looking main protagonists and instead has them looking as bland as possible to encourage making your own character then that's where I put my foot down.

Sorry to say, but that's pretty much what is happening now.

Although, the player characters have always been a self-insert. It just became more obvious in the later gens as character customization has become a more established feature.
