Unpopular opinion time - I didn't mind Dexit, and honestly am more surprised it took this long for it to happen.
I mostly agree. I like what they did with the pokedex in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. They just shuffled a few gens into one. I personally think that's a better way to go about it than creating a hundred or so pokemon each generation just 'coz.

Can anyone here recommend me some Pokemon Rom Hacks? I am interested in Pokemon Clover but would like to know if there is any other good ones out there.
Crystal Clear is my favorite for old school games and might be my favorite in general. Not many changes were made to the pokemon themselves but the world has been opened up completely and there have been dozens and dozens of quality of life changes, including scaling gyms, chaining, an event move and gen 1 TM move tutor, 6 customizable palates and so on. By not making severe alterations, it still has Stadium 2 and vanilla game compatibility. I'd definitely recommend it if you feel like revisiting the GB games.

Renegade Platinum is really good too, but makes many more aggressive changes, like new level up movesets, earlier/easier evolutions, retroactive Fairy typing, wider TM compatibility, etc. It's a lot better than trying to go back to Diamond and Pearl, and probably a better experience than the remakes; it's definitely not a low-effort hack.

Rocket Edition is wildly different in that you're a team rocket grunt stealing other people's pokemon, but it's an interesting take on FR/LG's story which is happening in the background. Definitely worth a look if you're into alternate plots without changing up the map or mons themselves.

Clover is a meme game and was never fully finished. It has a lot going on that's new but it's also really obtuse with its challenges and obnoxious with its humor (which is just 4chan /vp/ dick sucking). Uranium is an interesting one but I never got that far into it. Introducing a bunch of new types into the game isn't really my thing, but it might be yours.

Nearly every rom hack has a full pokedex for its generation as well as being harder in some way, usually giving expanded parties, stronger stats, better sets, higher levels, or better AI to everyone usually but especially to major characters. I wouldn't recommend anything based on those things alone but if it lacks those things for no apparent reason, it might be a shitty hack.

Make sure you get the 1.3 version because 2.0 onwards have a race randomised for the trainer's and NPCs. Feels like Pokémon BLM Version in 2.0.

Hello everybody it's markiplier and welcome back to five nights at freddies.

Professors Sada and Toro. expect porn of them both together shortly. Sada's more nature-themed, toro's more tech-themed.

1654089069977.png

Looks like this is open world Pokemon centers, these nice kiosks.

Big feature of the game seems to be the group multiplayer. Up to four people can run around together.
Follow pokemon are a thing at all times, too.
Also, this is our newest gen's Science is Amazing Fatso. Some traditions don't change and never should.

Fairly basic tree but damn is that a sexy cryogonal. those are some t e x t u r e s b o i s.

Seems to be a nature vs. tech theme for these two legendaries. Something like B&W, maybe? Professors are colored and themed nature and tech, too, if you scroll up.

It seems like they're not digimon, neopets, yo-kai or ranchable monsters. nah, these are definitely spectrobes.

Those new pokemon designs are absolutely horrible, especially the legendaries. What the fuck happened?

I blame all you fuckers that hated gen 5.

Lechonk is Normal, probably the Rattata/Bidoof of the Gen. The little plant is Smoliv, an unusual Grass/Normal type, Pawmi is the Electric type Pikachu of this Gen. Legendaries are Koraimon and Miraimon.

Announcement is a bit meh to me. But I've been turned off of Pokemon for a while now and mostly keep an eye on it so I can look and see if anything tempts me back.

It's not a bad trailer, it's just fine I suppose. Getting a better look at the world is nice and confirming simultaneous multiplayer is also pretty good, but it definitely seems like this was more a trailer for people who were going to pick up the game regardless rather than being the kinda trailer that convinces you to give the game a chance if you weren't already going to. They're probably holding info for a presentation but I'm surprised there wasn't a tease at whatever unique mechanic they're going with this time (like Dynamaxing)

I think it's the multiplayer that they're going to lead with this time, in which case thank fuck. Even if I like a lot of the evolutions and maxes as designs, it's probably better to have mechanics that don't fuck with the actual battles. Don't fix what isn't broken, y'know?

- Literally a fucking olive oil pokemon.

It's Koraidon and Miraidon, we're not digimon here. And I know Mirai means Future, so they're literally future/past mons.

Koraidon and Miraidon look weird, but their designs are starting to grow on me. Between the two I like Miraidon a little more.

Looking forward to seeing Lechonk's evo. Hope it's a badass boar that gains a good typing.

Hopefully not.
If the main addition is being able to party up and they don't really build on that then I can see the game feeling a bit lacking there, especially if you end up playing alone. Hopefully they'll add side content which involves grouping up together in a party, and also have something special in the battle system.

It is a tricky balance though. I don't want them to do nothing and for the gameplay to be immediately stagnant, but at the same time, I don't want some dumb gimmicky thing that lacks any depth.

i played pokemon Uranium not too long ago. it made me realize that i still like the core concept of pokemon and that game freak dont know what to do with the franchise.

its surprising a pokemon fan game made me care for its plot and characters.

I hate how Pokémon has been using memes in their games for awhile now. First "Hangry Mode", now Lechonk. Almost guranteed to age poorly. What's next, a Pokémon based off of Big Chungus?

I felt nothing watching this trailer. The textures and models still look like ass, the designs are meh, still no voice acting, no interesting new gameplay mechanics shown off; it just looks like a rom hack of SwSh. And all the YouTube comments are “wow this game has new starters and professors and legendaries must buy!!!” like those aren’t in literally every single new generation ever.

Maybe someday we’ll get a PMD2 remake or new PMD, but until then, maybe nu-Pokemon just isn’t for me… *sigh*

Damn, I don't even play much pokemon but watching this trailer, its like a GBA game in 3D

it looks like shit.

and it will sell millions because autists and manchildren.
