I'm finding myself excited for the game because new mons is always fun but I am expecting something like Ultra sun and moon where it will ultimately be disappointing due to the amount of work they don't really seem to want to put into the game.
I wish they'd take like 2-3 years to make it instead of 1 year. We don't need a new game every year, most of us are adults we can wait.

Rumors are there’s a “minor league” and a “major league”, which sorta fits in with the more direct sports metaphor they’re going for. At least some of those gyms are going to be version-exclusive - Ghost/Fighting is confirmed, I wouldn’t be surprised if Fairy/Dark were the other exclusive pairing. I think that would be sensible, to have 8 gyms in each league for a total of 16 (+2 exclusives), making one gym of each type while still following the traditional 8-gym structure.
