I seem to be having a harder time in this game, do I just suck at vidya (yes) or did they up the difficulty?

Also, I wish they would've done a few more things differently. So far it feels more or less one in the same. But I'm still enjoying it.

Well, I know what I'm going to be doing all weekend long.

Also, I do have to say I'm disappointed this is a remake like Emerald and Platinum instead of a sequel like Black 2 and White 2. There are plot points they could have picked up in a sequel (what happened to the Aether Foundation, Lillie's journey as a trainer and Lusamine's health, how Alola is faring with the new Pokemon League, etc). Plus, Sun and Moon came out only a year ago, so it's still really fresh in my mind (unlike Emerald and Platinum, which came out about two years after their original counterparts).

Oh well, hopefully there's enough new stuff to enjoy!

Git a balanced team

Okay, so could someone explain the chronology of Pokemon to me?

Because some people in this game should be dead.

Finally got around to getting my Tapu Fini and Vanilluxe, and that means my Pokedex is 100% complete. Got my Shiny Charm, but that just means my grinding will continue and continue.

As for the new games, I really don't see much else that incenticizes me to get them. I cant afford video games anyway right now, and I'd rather Santa Claus bring me a Nintendo Switch this year if anything.

Mantine Surf is actually pretty fun once you get the hang of it! went back and redid it a few times to get more BP for the move tutors. The key is to keep building up speed until it gets orange and then doing a bunch of moves instead of trying to make more frequent, less impressive moves. I'm just having trouble sticking the landings; I only stick the landing like 30% of the time and it's a huge pain in the ass.

The Official Chronology is RGBY/FRLG = RSE/ORAS -> GSC/HGSS = DPP -> BW -> B2W2 = XY -> SM/USUM, all but ORAS, SM, and USUM were in an official tweet by a GF employee, but Dexio and Sina confirm with their in-game dialogue that the events of X and Y had already transpired.

However, for the team leaders that are dead, all of the team leaders sans Giovanni are from alternate dimensions where the main characters of their respective games did not exist, and thus they succeeded on all of their plans, which is also why they all have legendary Pokemon on their team.

Are the Totem Pokemon any different from their regular counterparts other than size?

Probably, but since its just being another useless gimmick, the difference is probably minimal, and you'll get through the story without it, just like everything else like Poke Pelago, and that Camera gimmick.

I like the new poison UB

poison <3

I'm really trying not to talk about the new UB's. It'll just be another ranty wall of text about how little Gamefreak likes taking liberties.

NOT. ONE. HAS. UNIQUE. TYPING.

Gimmicks >>> Anything actually interesting and worthwhile.

To be fair the only UB that has a unique Typing at all is Nihilego, also they can't always make everything a new typing. Will you stop caring about new Pokemon at all once all the type combinations are used up? So far two types(Water and Flying) have used up every possible type combination they can have. Does that mean you'll never be interested in a new Water or Flying type ever again because all of them will have typings that were already done?

Abilities, movepool, and stat distribution can make 2 pokemon of the same typing completely different.

For example the only thing Dragalge and Naganadel have in common is typing, they look very different and feel very different playing with them

Even with my dear Symbiont, I feel Gamefreak was forced to end up picking those typings for their unique looking creature. I expected Nihilego to be a Water/Psychic based on design.
