It's because it's a fire/fighting starter in an already overcrowded line of Fire/Fighting starters. Blaziken and Infernape get more attention than Emboar because they have a combination of stats and abilities that give them the upper edge. Emboar's gimmic is that he can do more damage on recoil attacks but he's slower, so he would be taking more hits than the other two, even with his big HP, his low Def/SpDef doesn't hold up.

I get the appeal for Emboar, as he kinda looks like a fire Ganon, but when even the Wrestling Zangief cat is doing better than you in the physical fire starter category, that's when you know you're in trouble.

Wrong, this is coming out for Mobile. They will have to downgrade animations and graphics even more so that little timmy and pajeet with no other electronics than his smartphone can both play against you on your Switch. Seeing your Pokemon in 3D moving about and being able to use them in a competitive environment was the whole point, and knowing modern Gamefreak they will fail at both in spectacular ways we can't even imagine yet.
Stadium is dead, this is poor man's Showdown. You're right in that this might be used in VGC from now on, but this will only kill interest in the online space of the new games even more, like I said.
Not including all Pokemon was a death sentence. We're actively going backwards, Japanese Stadium didn't have all Pokemon but that was a glorified beta test, every mainline and Stadium game onwards had all Pokemon until Sword/Shield. I can only imagine how disgusting the meta in Champions is going to be, the healthiest metas are the ones with the most options, not cherry picked nonsensical choices that force everyone to use the same meta teams to compete.
 
I don't even know why I still tune into these Pokemon Presents things every year, I haven't played or have wanted to play any Pokemon game after USUM. I just keep hoping they'll put out a decent game using some of their megashekels they make every fucking time but Legends ZA honestly does just look like a worse Palworld. I honestly can't believe they tried to pull the "high quality animations" card as to why they couldn't include all the Pokemon in the games anymore and they're about to put out a game in 2025 with buildings that are just squares with flat image textures on their faces. It's just a total embarrassment when you compare it to games that use the Switch's shitty hardware and manage to make nice looking games like Pikmin 4 or even something like the Xenoblade X port coming out this month which is a 10 year old game. This franchise just needs to die already, or at least go on hiatus and do a proper reboot.

I hope GF's offices get KyoAni'd and this game gets permanently canceled. Fuck this gay shit. Shigeru Ohmori goes through a meatgrinder or I riot.

It's also funny to me that I spent some time planning out something like wild areas and fitting them into empty spaces in Kalos's map but then GF's just like "lol just put them in the city who gives a shit"

I think the reason media celebrating anniversaries of multiple decades hits harder now because everything has become so consolidated, with little vying to fill the media niches that we’re left when properties like Pokémon were no longer the little guy.

There was q case of human on human murder in the manga before with the villain, but this ninja dude lost his mother the same daybhe brought the medicine back to his village, but he was hours late and his mother passed away due to sickness.

There are just 3 volumes left but I feel like it will be cut short. The scope of the story seems to be that it could go further.

Also furries could make this live longer if it was released later with a mote international audience rather than just Japan in early 10's.

So far I am seeing more debates over which rival/player character in AZ is sexier over discussion over the actual gameplay on /vp/, lol
BTW Champions looks like it will not be a free game, if that's what you're wondering. You will need to pay for Switch Live or whatever the paid online is called too. It's going to be a mess, I don't see people dedicated enough to the game spending that much money when you can fire up Showdown, make a team and go to town. Normalfags don't care enough to set up a competitive team(not to mention spend enough money to get Pokemon they want from the games that have them) and will likely ignore it.
What was wrong with having in-depth online features in your MAINLINE game, again? DPP had Battle Frontier, Wi-Fi battles and GTS all under one roof, it wasn't dissected between several different games and apps AND you could always double dip with Battle Revolution.

They will definitely try and take Showdown offline over this shitty app. They're out for blood after Palworld and it'll just be worse than Showdown is because there's no way it's going to support anything except VGC slop. Singles stuff will be neglected and all the cool metagames for past gens that Showdown has support for won't exist. The legacy Champions will have when it goes offline in 5-6 years will be being the reason for why a 15+ year old thing people had fun with got shut down for the sake of making a few extra dollaridoos.

The argument I am seeing here is that there is a bunch of Pokemon MMOs that are still around, some of them monetized, and they aren't doing jack. Even if Showdown gets shut down, people will just move on to something else. I doubt this format of online battling itself will die.

I finally caught Articuno in FRR. I've met several but they just take too many Pokeballs to catch, I am all out. Now I am in a predicament, as I just met and KOed a random Suicune in the same cave. May appears in this hack to give out hints as to which legendary Pokemon is around. In Seafoam, the hint is "Where frost and water meet", so that would imply Suicune and Articuno. Pokedex shows "Area Unknown", however, and originally the three dogs are roaming, meaning if you KOed them that' that, they're gone. Worse yet, a source is telling me that there is Regirock here not Suicune, altho I haven't met one and it doesn't make much sense with the hint. Anyone here experienced with FRLG romhacking? Any way to open that sucker up and see what the encounter table per area is directly? Normally I would go for a guide, but I guess this hack is too simple and obscure to have one.

Nah. Showdown has made no secret that it is on good terms with TPC.

Somehow I don’t think needing to pay for a thing that majority of people that own a Switch or play Pokemon already pay for will be a problem.

Bet it will be very Stadium. In that you can remt Pokemon however if you pay for Online and/or Home you can use your own.

Meganium is really not that bad. it got better later generations with a better movepool thanks to better selection of TMs, but if you don't want to relegate it as a defensive screens setter then you can have an offensive set like a physical Earthquake/PetalBlizzard/[insert normal-type attack here] set. Or a sunny day set with HiddenPower/Tera Fire, Solar Beam, and Synthesis.
