In Pokémon XD, how does Mirror B gets his shadow Pokémon?

I never seen a pokerus before; however, why does it make pokemon stronger?

Pokerus makes it so that you gain EVs at double the rate. It can spread to other pokemon you have, either in your party or in a box, and a pokemon can be infected for up to four days. It only matters for grind-based EV training. It heals after this time, at which point the pokemon is permanently immune.

Don't question the mad man and his fabulous groove.

Why the fuck did the pokeball have a large chance to just "miss" legendaries in gen 1? Even if they were asleep? Does your character become so blinded by their power that suddenly their 100% perfect aim goes in the trash?

Also, the Eevee that Bill gives you in GSC, he claims just came through the box system while he was servicing it. Why not shut down transfers while you worked? That was somebody's Eevee that he didn't even try to get back to its owner. What if he just stole the only companion of some crippled 10 year old? Genius move.

Also why was Bill working on a Time Machine ala Primer style?

Why isn’t the Viridian City Gym the first Gym in Kanto?

Bumping because Celebi has time-traveled from the future to warn us of Pokémon's demise--but had to sign a non-disclosure agreement that has to remain on its person at all times.

Actually speaking of, what even is the connection between the GS Ball and Celebi? Why do you need to offer it to the shrine to call forth Celebi--because that's what housed it this whole time? Then why the fuck isn't Celebi dead from starvation? On top of that, where did it come from? Kurt doesn't say shit about what's so significant about it, he clearly doesn't learn a damn thing about the ball. One of the ladies running the Time Capsule/Cable Link just hands it to you as soon as you become Johto's Champion, that's it. Well, who sent it, and why?

It's more of a mystery than a goof, but if the Celebi was always in the GS Ball the whole time, then what's the point in saying the Ilex Forest's is as omnipotent as first believed? Who caught the little bugger, anyway? The event just raises too many jarring questions.

Also the fucking useless Spike-Eared Pichu is a cruel joke bestowed by Arceus because he's an asshole.

It's partially explained; when you shut down the shadow lab, they mention two guys (Miror B's henchmen) stealing the last of the shadow Pokemon, Dragonite. He's an ex-Cipher member, he might have some residual communication equipment or the like that allows him to track them down and take them.

Probably because it's the closest to the Pokemon League. This is also true of blackthorn (arguably by foot, certainly as the crow flies).

The last gym is usually in one of the two or so cities closest to the league. There might be a town you have to pass through or a gym that's technically closer, but generally the games want to let you get there as soon as you can after fighting the final boss.

Also, consider: if everyone goes through the gyms in the same order as we do, they'd have to get to the first Gym somehow. Going through Diglett tunnel would get you from any city to Pewter in 3 cities or less. For a lot of other cities, the fastest path to Vermillion requires passing through the diglett tunnel (and nearly going to Pewter anyways) or a long surf.

A better question is why Petalburg is the 5th gym. It doesn't flow at all in terms of region travel.

The first Galar special episode with the kids hospital raises an interesting question. Why would human hospitals need to exist at all? There's dozens of Pokemon species that can just shoot a healing beam at you or produce magical curing herbs and boom, you're fine.

On a different note the episode featured a Gothitelle in the building. Gothitelles can literally see the lifespan of their trainers and presumably people in general, so the fact that there's one roaming around a children's hospital...

They probably wanted you to meet your dad early on, but didn't want him to be the first gym so there's more of a challenge. Could also be that they wanted him to be the one to first meet Wally, although it could have been literally any other gym leader that did it.

As for me, why does Stantler exist, and why am I the only one that remembers him?

The Doctors got to know which child needs a funeral next.

There's definitely different levels of suffering. The most hurt any Pokemon gets in the game is knocked unconscious, and its clear from their types and the like that things like Disable and Paralysis aren't based on damage but on mental/tazing effects.

We do have diseases confirmed that can't just be cured at a Pokemon center - the Pokerus, for example. Just because that's a positive example doesn't mean that it doesn't show the limitations of healing tech. And we've never seen a Pokemon that was seriously crippled or amputated healing and/or growing it back (though certain species have that property based on their inspiration). It's reasonable to assume that there are far more serious injuries that a little spray-bottle just can't heal.

Why wasn’t Pokemon Gold and Silver called Pokémon 2 Gold and Silver like they were going to?

Because the two is unnecessary. Red/Blue/Yellow/Green are obviously not on the same level as Gold and Silver. It would also make Yellow seem more like a re-release than it otherwise would.

If you're gonna do a 2 and a subtitle, you need a bit longer of a subtitle. Like Yo-kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits. You need to justify that 2 as being a shorter way to say the game's name. Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver work just fine.
