Hrm.

So what's the cheapest phone out there that does all the bells and whistles for this?

I might be willing to drop some money on a magic window to pokeymans.

It is actually. To me its the same just except with fighting for contol over nodes its fighting pokemons.

The thing with Ingress is that people are fucking serious about it for like the past year I keep getting messages from my local group personally asking me to return and come back to the group meetings. It's going to happen in pokemon where groups start evolving soon and if someone sees you playing Go the first question they will ask is which team you are on and if they get the right answer they will sperg unconditionally about planning a run.

Pokemon Go is a bit hit-or-miss for me at the moment, honestly. I live in a suburban area that's very developed and yet there are no gyms or Pokespots within walking distance (well, okay, that's not fair; I could walk to them but I'm sure as hell not going to in this ungodly weather). I've only gotten a few Pokemon, too.

I would be okay with that and go to other places if I could actually rely on the fucking servers. Seriously, I keep trying to open the app and I always get the same "the servers are overloaded" message. They actually had to make a Twitter that tells you when the servers are on or offline. I understand that it the app just launched and all, but I wish they had prepared better. I also really hope these bugs/glitches/server errors don't persist past the first couple of weeks.

I haven't been playing (my phone's an ancient brick), but apparently one of the Gyms in my town is in a factory.
Not really sure how that'll work out but hats off to the brave motherfucker who decides to try and hang out around heavy machinery to fight a Doduo.

I was able to try it for a grand total of two minutes before it crapped out. But hey, at least I got a Bulbasaur that theoretically saved to my account.

Does anyone know what the leaves mean? I read that they were supposed to represent a pokemon near by but when I went near one no Pokemon popped up and their feet indicators didn't show any difference(s). I did wait a while for something to happen but nothing happened sadly, the upside though is when I got home from that trip I caught a caterpie.

I was pretty excited to try this, only to find out it is nearly useless where I live. I'm in a pretty rural area (like "it's a 20 minute drive to the nearest town" rural) and absolutely nothing shows up when I go walking. :( This seems like a great concept and a nice incentive to get out more, but not something worth wasting gas over.

These new legendaries are hardcore.

I'm told the same. Pokemon might be nearby, but sometimes they get away.

Unfortunately, I've heard a lot of similar stories from other people who live in rural areas. From what I understand, the rate of Pokemon spawning is related to the amount of cell phone usage in an area. So people who live in apartment buildings in cities can just sit on the couch and catch a bunch of Pokemon, but people who live in the countryside have to walk for three miles to find a fucking Rattata.

I think the best course of action is just pulling the app up whenever you do go to a more populated area for whatever reason.

Doesn't surprise me given the circumstances. I wish I knew of a cheap phone with gyro that could help another poster here. Mine is a mid-ranger that didn't even have it in it so I couldn't to much of those funky AR/VR stuff.

Best Pokestop yet.

...funny, I was expecting to see a Ghastly at a Funeral.

You think that's bad? A corrugated iron water tank for one of the nearby town's public toilets is a Pokestop down this end of the world.

I know your feels mang. I'm pretty rural myself, so there's only very limited pokemon available, even if I go for a good hour or so walk with my dog.
