Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says the government will take steps to end the use of the Emergencies Act after it was invoked just over a week ago in response to the ongoing trucker convoy blockades and protests.

Trudeau made the announcement alongside Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland, Justice Minister David Lametti, Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino, and Emergency Preparedness Minister Bill Blair.

The House of Commons passed a motion on Monday confirming the emergency powers, which included sweeping financial tools to cut the convoy’s funding. The Senate is still debating the matter.

This is a breaking news update…more details to come.

You sound like the left. Nothing is ever good enough.

Too much hypno sissy porn obviously.
Was it the pink-as-fuck profile that gave away how zogged I am by the sissy hypno? It may read like a leftist if you have brain damage. If you're a reasonable person you understand I've been opposed to the blackface King's dictatorship since before its formal establishment. He doesn't get kudos for stopping what never should have started in the first place. If Canadians really aren't the spineless faggots I know them to be, his ass would be swinging from a lamp post before the week is out. If you can't see why that must happen to an individual that unilaterally declares themselves dictator, I don't know what to tell you other than you deserve to join them.

That's too bad. I was hoping for him to be dragged into the street and hanged from a maple tree.

In Minecraft, of course.

You gotta respect the man somewhat for giving up all that juicy unlimited power. I don't agree with most of his choices, but kudos where its due
Assume that a bunch of old Hollywood actresses storm Canada violating several pre Code rules with guns and Tradaeu enacts this Emergency Act. Then Ginger Rogers throws her bra at his sorry ass and then he surrenders the whole country. What was the point then?

In any other era this response would have resulted in an entire government resigning out of sheer shame and retiring with a tainted legacy, but in Clown World you are hailed as a champion of Democracy.

Thats alot of words to reinforce your original statement.

Nothing is ever good enough. Just like dealing with leftist retards.

I suppose you would prefer they were shot on site for honking?

I dunno if all the nonsense recently has been given a pass as "mostly peaceful" I would rate the truck protest as an unmitigated good thing. The only people to shoot on sight would be those calling for tyranny.

Yeah, it's a good thing to affect everybody else BUT the people you're protesting against.

I understand and fully accept your point. That said I have my own: turnabout is fair play. If the collective majority has decided blocking streets, burning buildings, and outright murder is "mostly peaceful" then there should not be any complaints about honking. It's literally just sound. It can only hurt you if you are incredibly close to the actual horn, even then the risk is largely mitigated by regulation. Even in the worst case it's injury, not death, you're concerned about.

You’re wrong, actually. Trudeau and everyone else who supported this nonsense resigning is the only recompense.

Now obviously I would prefer if they were resigning from lampposts, but even I know not to ask for TOO much.

Why? Did you really think it would be in-place forever? It's politically untenable to maintain an Emergency Powers act when the "emergency" (however much you may disagree whether it is an actual emergency) is over.

I know that this is A&N and blackpills abound but Christ.
I'm sure they said the same thing about the patriot act. Its still going strong over 20 years later

Nigga do you even know what the patriot act is?!

The act itself is flexible, he can do it again at any time.
I suppose his advisors got through to him that he doesn't have to be flexible to his enemies, or those wary of him, but it can be better to appear that way.
