Formatting your USB Drive

A must-know for modding, which seems more-and-more like a forgotten skill. Windows, Linux and MacOS all have built-in support for USB formatting, because, duh. But it's more important to know what the hell those filesystems are that you keep getting asked to choose out of. I'll mostly be focusing on Linux mainly, but you can use that little noggin of yours to translate instructions to your preferred medium. I've done firmware mods using a goddamn Chromebook, I'm sure you can manage.
Jesus Christ. Am I so old that pirates consider this lost knowledge?

Kids these days don't know how to pirate.
It's really bad. I had to help some 14-year old with his gaming laptop the other day and had to clean that shit out of a bunch of programs and background processes that kept slowing his laptop down. Like he had 6 different game launchers running, a custom crosshair program overlay for windows, and just a few others even he had no idea what they did. Managed to improve it, but for fuck's sake, kids just install anything their discord friends send them who probably learned it from some youtuber that is likely to be a secret pedophile. "hEy GUYS! yoU Won't BelLIEve This GREAt sofTwaRE I USE!"

Does this count as piracy?

I never did learn what leechers and ratios were all about. I just let qbittorrent seed a hundred gigs a month and call it good.

Are there any resources for textbooks that still exist? I searched annas-archive but they don't have the most recent version of the textbook I'm looking for.

If all goes well, I'll have symmetric fiber installed tomorrow and my upload speed will be going up by a factor of like 35 or thereabouts. My ratio is going to be off the fuckin' chain.

Z-lib (make sure you use the tor version) and Annas's. If you have a class that uses the integrated e-learning where your homework is through the Pearson website or whatever, then you're boned and just have to pony up. That and if you have a class where like it's some obscure crap that nobody outside your university would ever care about, i.e., the department head or professor wrote the book, you're also boned. If all you need is a PDF of a popular textbook then you're golden.

I used AI to make a tool that combines spotdl, yt-dlp and ffmpeg into a universal audio downloader to pirate music from youtube and spotify. I just asked it to make me a tool that i could place in my toolbar that would automate everything for me. So all i have to do is copy the link of the song i want to download, open the tool, press 1 or 2 depending on if the source is youtube or spotify, paste the link and press enter. Was pretty easy to do, i just told it what i wanted and it gave me instructions.

I made a similar one, that will also "optimize" the file as a copy of the original. Smaller file size and some compromise on quality but it's decent enough for sharing the youtube and twitch stuff I download.

Wouldn't it be better to also have a function to search for music by prompting the YouTube and Spotify API? Seems like a better use for AI than just having it make a wrapper for two downloaders, especially when you're already fine with using CMD instead of a GUI.

None of the free, slow partner services on Anna's Archive are working for me right now, everything ends in timed out connections. Hopped countries on VPN, tried without, same issue. Anyone else have that problem?
I sometimes have that happen, I go to Z-Lib when that happens.
