Is there any web app based metadata editors?
Nothing good. There are scarcely any good metadata editors, to say nothing of pigeonholing weirdo webapp instances. FFmpeg-supporting software is probably your best bet for metadata. Are there webapp frontends to FFmpeg? Maybe have Claude hallucinate one for you? It's not a complex function.

fair, I think I'll just try running picard

Does soulseek have a system where you can search for an artist and download nested directories of all the songs from someone who has a fairly complete collection?

Off the top of my head:
- go to Discogs and check the artist's discography
- search for the most obscure release on Soulseek/Nicotine+
- browse user's shares to see if they have everything you want
- check the user's info to see if they don't mind when someone queues lots of files (this is probably not as common these days because connection speeds are significantly better, but in the old days you could get blocked for being "greedy")
- add folders to download list

Looks like the slskd docker image is slightly restricted in making it tricky to do batch downloads among multiple folders. However it integrates with lidarr with a third party app so I'll see if I can get that up and running, I liked lidarr because it helped me tell if I had most of an artist's songs or not, but it's going to be a fucking pain reimporting my library to lidarr

I don't know what the fuck lidarr's problem is lately -- the idiots have some mysterious "metadata server" that they can't keep up like it's some kind of high-concept magic box nobody knows how to use, and it flakes all the fucking time. In turn, this makes lidarr go full-lobotomy mode and become utterly useless until the server comes back.

Who hosts the fucking thing? Who knows? Why can't I host one myself? No fucking clue. How has it taken three fucking years to solve this stupidity? Modern troon-coded open-source, ladies and gentlemen.

Lidarr uses musicbrainz for its metadata server. But don’t ask me how I came about this super secret knowledge.

Incorrect. They maintain a proxy because Musicbrainz are faggots who refuse to allow lidarr to use it directly. Said proxy copy explodes on a regular basis and makes the fucking thing useless. Lidarr's developers are similarly morons for refusing to even entertain self-hosted metadata (there's a request for it, closed as "won't fix" because again, they're faggots). It's been known-broken for over a year now with no fix in sight. See this post for details.

But thanks for the snark though, you oh-so-clever cunt. Sure reddited up this place for a minute there with your witty gotcha.

Anytime friend :feels:

No doubt you’ve had a look in https://github.com/etfeet/LidarrAPI.Metadata and a mess about with https://github.com/davedean/lidmeta ?
Indeed:
Lidmeta said:
This Work Is Pre-Alpha And Not Ready for End Users
Everybody should be using pre-alpha "not ready for normal users" software to work around fucktarded decisions by the assholes maintaining Lidarr.

One does wonder why not mention this instead of just snarking "lol musicbrainz d00d it's right there on the screen," not that this is actually helpful either unless you're up for spending hours setting this extra shit up, banging up a custom build of lidarr to use it (since they explicitly refuse to add an option to change what URL it hits to access this metadata), and so on.

Probably just still being a cheeky cunt, as I first noted. I love the [ignore] feature here. Been getting a lot of milage out of it lately.

Does anyone know where to find episodes of Seibu Keisatsu, the old cop car action series from Japan?
I found most of the first season on archive.org. Look for a creator named "TV Asahi". Not sure if there's any subs for it, though. You might want to read the reviews at the bottom of the page with the video player.
