Nothing good. There are scarcely any good metadata editors, to say nothing of pigeonholing weirdo webapp instances. FFmpeg-supporting software is probably your best bet for metadata. Are there webapp frontends to FFmpeg? Maybe have Claude hallucinate one for you? It's not a complex function.

I don't know what the fuck lidarr's problem is lately -- the idiots have some mysterious "metadata server" that they can't keep up like it's some kind of high-concept magic box nobody knows how to use, and it flakes all the fucking time. In turn, this makes lidarr go full-lobotomy mode and become utterly useless until the server comes back.
technically they have to keep a local copy because everyone gets pissy when all the *arr users ddos their servers. Goodreads banned readarr from accessing it's metadata and so the readarr client got shut down.
Incorrect. They maintain a proxy because Musicbrainz are faggots who refuse to allow lidarr to use it directly. Said proxy copy explodes on a regular basis and makes the fucking thing useless. Lidarr's developers are similarly morons for refusing to even entertain self-hosted metadata (there's a request for it, closed as "won't fix" because again, they're faggots). It's been known-broken for over a year now with no fix in sight. See this post for details.

Honestly? That is my bad for how I thought Lidarr worked. I had presumed that Lidarr worked like Radarr and went straight to the source. That twinned with cynicism in assuming that 90% of users asking questions just can’t be arsed searching for anything themselves.
Something like this is never not going to be a colossal fuck about with how the Lidarr devs chose to go about things. Although I’d expect that setting a DNS rule on your router (assuming it is up to it) can’t get around.

No luck there, unfortunately. There's a TV Asahi but there don't seem to be any episodes of the show. But I'm retarded so may have missed something.
