Again, Phil's tattoos betray his autism. It's like Phil sees open space on his skin and has to fill it up, as soon as possible, with the most childish and stereotyped symbols of "anarchy" that he can come up with. Most people would be content with one or two symbols were it really so important to them, the stereotypical (if overused) A for example, but Phil has to keep putting in new symbols again and again to hammer home the point, as if he believes you are as thick as he is. So he goes with the A... then a rainbow flag, and some bicycle shit, and a switchblade, and a bomb, and some calacas, and a labrys, and... a bunch of other weird random shit that's only really appropriate to his own narrow set of interests, never realizing nobody else will know what the fuck is going on with his tattoos, assuming they care enough to look in the first place. Of course, the other thing here is that Phil is a lot like Chris in that he assumes his first effort at anything is fucking gold, without realizing his acute lack of artistic talent. He has no theory of mind so he just sort of assumes everyone will take the same thing out of his childish scribbles that he does. Again, autism. Fucking autism...
