I think under those circumstances, he'd probably just invent an emergency that he had to divert funds to. My guess would be that he just forgot.Maybe someone specifically gave him money for those so he had to stop.

I think it's just because his small brain can't hold too many things at once.
It would be smarter to just come up with better lies.Actually it's because Phil cycles his lies. When one lie starts being put under too much scrutiny he'll abandon it and replace it with a more plausible lie only to re use the old lie later on after everyone has forgotten about it. It's one of the very few smart things Phil does.
Phil has an IQ in the mid to high 80s; that's not an option here. Not lying is though, but we all know he will refuse to do that.It would be smarter to just come up with better lies.
He's a massive coward and only wants oppression points, not genuine connections with other human beings.
He's a coward, sure, but I do think Phil does want real-life friends around, otherwise he wouldn't have taken in Jonathan. It's just that he's too selfish and toxic to be around with that anyone who tries being an IRL friend to him eventually keeps their distance and is happy to just interact with him through the internet. My two cents, of course. True and honest Philologists would have better info.
He keeps getting replies to his YouCaring saying "I would give, but I'm homeless," yet we never see him inviting them in for a few nights. I get that technically he probably doesn't have anywhere for them to sleep, given that he's been kicked out of his own room, but I'm surprised no one's said "Wait a minute..."Phil's apartment is attraction sign 2.0
He's already started to use it to draw in Greta for a visit, I think behind the scenes passover was a plan to invite certain people over and I expect to see more in future like the manual labour ruse. Expect Phil birthday party and some anti American 4th of July.
The problem Phil faces is inviting people in exposes his lies......and his lifestyle.
I suppose the fact that he knows he's repellent as fuck and that even his best asspatters like Robin will only meet him in public spaces (for reasons....) stops him from reaching out more.

The only thing Phil has of any potential value is the bike and its accessories. The closest thing he has to a relic of fail is the Die Cis Scum vest and that's probably as much of a biohazard as the $12,000 'Classic'.So how long till Phil pulls an OPL and tries to hawks some of his items of fail.

Phil's way too greedy and selfish to ever sell anything of his. Remember, this is the guy who would make almost weekly trips from Oregon to CA to pick up worthless junk and old, shitty clothing from a storage locker for months.
One of his asspatters drove him out to Cali to finish that and Phil e-begged for a couple of months afterwards to reimburse him. He keeps going back for tattoos though.Did he ever FINISH the exodus come to think of it?
Chris has this tendency to turn himself into a living cartoon character, creating easily-identifiable looks for himself and surrounding himself with distinctive and familiar objects. The Classic, the Sanic Totem and the medallions all had some worth because they were items instantly identifiable with Chris. So how long till Phil pulls an OPL and tries to hawks some of his items of fail.

Phil is almost the opposite. He keeps changing his identity, stealing his look from whatever subculture he's latched on to. He'll adopt a concept for a week or two, then drop it in favour of something else. There's nothing that's uniquely him, he's just a messy conglomeration of bad ideas.
... even if they're Mexican drug gangs.
