I did consider one of the Ryzen 5 cpu's but I did consider Ryzen 3 since I want to save money while upgrading from an FX 8320. Only thing I really wonder is which was best for gaming while not being a dick to my wallet.Well, the 1200 is basically a 1300 that's been underclocked for some reason. Depending on the silicon lottery, you might be able to get all the way up to 4.0 GHz but you may only get to 3.5 GHz.
Why not spend a bit more and get a Ryzen 1400 and overclock it? Yes, it's a little more pricey but you get hyperthreading as well, and with stuff in general taking advantage of more threads it may be more future proof.
EDIT: The 1200 to 1400 only come with the Wraith Stealth cooler, which is a low profile Wraith Spire. If you get one of these and overclock it, you will need an aftermarket cooler.
Edit: Took the list I made and swapped the cpu and cooler for a Ryzen 3 1200 and a Corsair H60. May just go with this and overclock, especially if overclocking is easy.
