So, Maps are basically...beeline to the towers, keeping as many nodes with affixes as possible, then go back and reap with all.your high quality waystones? I had a devil of a time understanding progression back in the Atlas days, and wonder if I'm overthinking shit again.

B line towards the closest tower, pop a table into it if you have one, look for hideouts they are very easy to clear and make your life easier
 
Ugh, failed my third Ascendancy trial because the character refused to interact with a Death Crystal. There is zero reason for those not to be the highest priority target when using a gamepad.

if you are on controller (you are probably not) then i suggest to you have a dedicated interact button without it overlapping with anything
if you are on keyboard and mouse then i can only suggest you to install loot filters so you wouldn't have to worry about garbage
 
Btw guys do you want to created a guild?
I have a bunch of gems and waystones that i dont need already and it seems kinda like a waste to sell them for gold
Maybe some of you can use it?

I just failed my 3rd ascendency too.
A rare monster that explodes corpses spawned during an hourglass, a pretty anti climactic result.

I like this, but won’t join due to opsec.
If only there was a completely way to anonymise guilds.

Huh. I specifically made a separate GGG account to not link my Steam. (Side effect of not being able to use Steam features but eh.).
 
I'm pretty sure you cannot know someone else Steam account from their GGG one even if they're linked, but it would be fairly easy to accidentally cross contaminate your Steam or Discord personas through PoE.
There's also a bunch of 3rd party trading or chatting PoE discord dedicated to specific builds archetype where it's likely you've let your character name or account name slip over the years.

Mine would reveal my gamertag, I made my account on PlayStation and I don’t recall it giving me the option to create an account name, it defaulted to JackHoffman#1234.

Don't get me wrong, but you'd have to be a huge retard to associate with other kiwis off-site.
Just thinking how many of you are turbo autists, literal faggots, furries or worse, anime avatars, makes the prospect sinply daunting.

Basically the rule is: only vaal an item if you can afford a replacement without spending all your currency.
That being said, vaaling items in PoE 2 is much more rewarding than in PoE 1 since Unique items can no longer be bricked by being turned into rare's - you can gain a socket, an enchant mod, reroll the modifiers (both below and above the standard range), I think nothing happening is also an option. But from my experience of 200 hours it's generally worth it, if again, you can afford a replacement if you brick an item. Also, if you play trade league vaal orbs are pretty cheap.
 
Had a run of 5 maps with no waystones dropping despite 100+ chance on each. So annoying to have to build back up from lower maps.

get used to it because it will happen again the more you progress
you can always buy waystones on the market (they usually sell for 1 or 2 regal orbs) but people are not exactly quick or guarantee to answer these calls so pick the once that were listed less then 10 minutes ago, the chance of those responding are higher
also dont forget to upgrade waystones with orbs yourself to increase the percentage
