How embarrassing!

because it WAS true up till the last season, dumbass.

Its baffling, the only play people like your faggot ass expect others and themselves to make is to never admit fault and gaslight and lie about everything, and when others do admit fault, they are somehow weak or stupid.

Genuinely the most boring league mechanic I've ever seen, even worse than Archnem. I would've been fine with a minimalist league like Mercenaries was for an update this large.

They still need to fix the game in general. The new Huntress ascendancy being able to use bosses as companions looks like it's gonna be funny as shit, tho.

Might log on for a week then dash, I guess.
Crafting leagues have always been a skip for me. That said 90% of my play time is either Delve, Heist or selling Alva maps, so for the most part my gaming in POE1 existed outside of leagues anyway,

I hear people call you the Blood Snail, because you bleed from the ass so much, you keep leaving trails everywhere.
Just take your L, weebshit and stop with your embarrassing sneeding.

Idk about a second thread, this thread only sees activity during new leagues/patches and rarely sees activity otherwise, maybe when discussion between the two games start conflicting and messing up the thread, but at the moment, I don't see why.
I agree a second thread is pointless and the nature of the game itself doesn't lend itself to a very active thread.
Path of Exile revolves around builds and trade, and the official forums offer better tools in that aspect. They are also not that strict on moderation, so you can get away with a lot.
In my opinion, the kiwi thread for PoE will always be mostly about general discussion and some shitposting, so I will always expect it to have below average activity.
And there's nothing wrong with that.

The main reason I thought that it might be a good idea is that the farms thread seems to be an echo of the POE2 forums, where POE1 players cry and bitch about fucking everything POE2 related and dilute the discussion to the point that it becomes a therapy session for the whiners instead of an actual discussion of the game.

Anyways, on that note, I'm pretty stoked for the new season. The endgame fix will keep some of my normie friends around longer, I think. They typically, as another poster here said, get to maps and then quit after a dozen or so. Having clear objectives for them to pursue will keep them interested and, hopefully, get them to the final bosses.

I am waiting for the patch notes before deciding on my first playthrough, but I am leaning towards the boss-minion build everyone is talking about. The main drawbacks will be how hyper-expensive the build becomes and its relatively slow clearing speed. Minion builds have always been really niche. I'm hoping there is some pressure taken off the scepters with the new ring and amulet crafting, with some extra clear speed added on top of that.

The huntress and monk ascendancies look cool as well. I tried out a lightning spear build in 0.4, and it was great fun, but so squishy that I ended up turning the huntress into a rarity bot because I was sick of dying.

I'm also thinking of doing an HC toon since we have that extra life pool to work with. I'll probably save that until my normie friends quit, though, as there is no chance they will play HC with me.

It's still a grindy game that resets every few months. Just because you put some goal in front, it won't change much.
I think most people are like me, where they play the league start for a couple of weeks at most, they shitpost in global chat, catch some chat bans, try new gems, try new bosses, then quit until next season.

Always play what you think is fun, even if it's not great.
Dont become a meta slave or some subhuman that follows "guides".
There's satisfaction in figuring and doing things yourself, as opposed to pasting what some other nigger did. The latter is a cuck mentality.

You do you, but I don't think it's a good idea to play HC when the game is still early access.

what?
This is the most autistic fucking insult.
Shut up, ass bleeding faggot.

Even if it was to break up the criers from the enjoyers, I don't think it's a good idea. The problem is, I don't think that even during a new season drop there's enough people talking about PoE2 to warrant a whole thread (there's dozens of us, DOZENS!). Maybe when 1.0 drops next year, if it's big enough, but I don't see 0.5.0 bringing that many people back to the discussion table.

I thought it was funny.

All games are grindy in their own way. All things in life really. Are you trying to crtique or just shit posting?

I do both. I understand the game and play things I like. I also understand the economy and look at meta for ways to gain currency to make 5-6 builds that I like that can finish all content. I generally find one toon that scratches my itch and push it the farthest though.

Trailer for POO2 is out. For the "Biggest Expansion Ever" seems pretty fucking underwhelming.
I am all for shitting on PoE2. I am a certified hater. Your post is actually delusional levels of off-base lol. This is just a short version of what actually changed.

Ritual: Rewards redesigned (unsure if good or bad). Mechanic expanded significantly. New pinnacle boss.

Delirium: Mechanic reworked and expanded. New pinnacle boss. New rewards based on the map boss of an area.

Breach: Ported Keepers of the Flame from PoE1, which we tested to ensure it's actually decent. Giving Tree completely redesigned compared to PoE1, lots of new bases, lots of new crafting options.

Vaal Temple and Abyss: Given an Atlas Tree. Can't comment much on how much that changes the mechanics without seeing them.

Expedition: Major rework to tie into the new league. At least Uhtred seems redesigned, other three expedition leaders may be too.

Runes of Aldur: Massive number of new crafting options. Expansion to Expedition. New pinnacle boss.

Return of the Ancients: Massive rework to the atlas passive tree, and the way the atlas generates at the start of the endgame so post-acts period doesn't take so long to get to the good shit since it gives you map areas with special modifiers. Mechanic even includes ways to speed up the completion if you just want to get your atlas points and get done with it. Atlas classes actually seem like a good addition. New atlas tree has some interesting stuff they've already shown, and a fuck load of nodes that we haven't seen.
Is there a Poe2 exclusive thread? Seems pointless to have PoE2 in with PoE1 when they are different games.
Since both games cycle on and off, it's a little redundant I guess. One thread would be almost entirely dead at all times.

So when is 1.0 for POE2? I'll only touch the game then since I prefer to evaluate the game when it's "complete".

Currently, after ExileCon, this year. So December probably, unless people hate the new endgame and they have to push it back again. There's basically zero chance that all acts and all classes are in for "1.0" at this rate, we'll probably still be missing two of them.

Wrong.
Not all games are grindy.
Grind is doing the same task (i.e maps) over and over for acquired exp and the chance of loot drop. This is usually the domain of MMO and ARPG.
How is something like BG3, AoW4, XCOM and many others a grindy game?

I am all for glazing on PoE2. I am a certified simp.
More seriously, I like that they are trying to make combos work, even if the slow & methodical approach they presented during 0.1 is just a fever dream.
I played PoE1 since 2013, been around for most leagues, hell I even won a headset during a race event, but I won't ever go back.
All in on PoE2, baby!

There is no need to push back because people disliked the endgame. The game is never final, if the endgame is bad, it will be fixed for next league.
It's entirely highly possible that all classes and weapons are ready at 1.0. What's available now it's not everything that they have done, a lot of things is on hold, when the earliest trailer dropped years ago, there was already a scissors wielding boss that hasn't even appeared once in the game. Lest one might forget, poe2 is actually already in development for 6 years.

yeah but I think Mark or Johnathon said that they don't need to have all classes ready for 1.0, i.e it's not a requirement for full release and it would kinda make sense from a marketing perspective to have a class or two in the bag for a big post 1.0 league release.

edit: Personally I wouldn't mind the game releasing without all classes. My hope for the game going forward would be to stop adding mechanics and systems on top of systems (falling into the POE1 trap) while avoiding the underlying problems of the game (skill scaling, life, defences, etc...). I know that they said they're going to be looking into the balance/game state between 0.5 and 1.0 and releasing balance patches, hopefully they're substantial fixes/changes and not just some surface level numerical changes.

In the Q&A, they said that beta testing isn't needed for classes because they have a good handle on how to test them before release. Early access has always been about testing the endgame and the game's overall structure.

I was paraphrasing Jonathan. In his interview with Chris Wilson, he said that having the endgame in a state they are happy with is a requirement to launch 1.0, and if people hate it, then they're going to have to push it back.

But I don't think it will be pushed back, I'm just paraphrasing him. It's very unlikely that the state of endgame is gonna be so bad they need to delay things again, given what we've seen.
