Turk gets banned on the paradox forums because he had an Ataturk (Bascially the founing father of modern Turkey) avatar which was heckin' problematic because of the Armenian genocide or whatever.
Turks get pissed at this and start reviewbombing games and raping community servers with spam.
Paradox backs down and announces its going to change the rule that got the original Turk banned.

I'm sure Turks would love to be considered a first world country, and they were a first world country by the Cold War definition (NATO+close major allies), but ever since the end of it, the meaning has been moving away from geopolitics and more towards a country's general wealth, quality of life, and stability.
It is(was) cheap to come and have an operation. They are done quickly and they are done very good (Our medical education is very hard)
It is safe for outsiders but the system itself perpetuates using variety of evaluations.
In netherlands they first use meditation, yoga and massage first, then they will just get an mri.
In turkey, if you cough, they will use all the machines and tests on you. You will get a very high quality care because the more tests and machines and operations they used on you, the more government monatery support they recieve.
In netherlands you can lose your hearing because they try not to use mri and instead wrote you 2 months of yoga and massage(happened to my friend)
In turkey you will get the best surgery ever for an injury that does not necessitates.

Ataturk was a revolutionary.
He was not a genius ( got avarage greades in class, had a good war record but not extraordinary) did not plan on revolution either, he mostly rode the tides. He was a smart and practical man but he did many bad things(both ethically and politically)
But people are agressively reactive on this issue because certain agendas and ideologies made a talking point out of it.
