You're actually a perfect example of the thing you complain about, a midwitted redditor that fails to grasp any media more complex than hazbin hotel and digital circus.Speaking of reddit, they have finally added the highly expected fourth crisis and its some girlboss who keeps girlbossing all over the galaxy and forces the empires work for her and she is actually totally meaning good but she was hurt before and she is lashing out.
Literally every single crisis in the game except the prethoryn does that. The unbidden absorb the cannon shot and become stronger if you aim it at the anchor and the contingency redirects it back at your capital too. Its so you can't oneshot the crisis before it even starts and negate the entire endgame. And if you have that quantum space gun shit that destroys systems and try to shoot her in the moment she spawns instead of working for her, she girlbosses all over you and and you accidentally hit your own capital, haha silly, girl power is too strong!! I was quite mad but can't say I was surprised the least.
As per usual the devs imposed their dogshit "vision", last time it was gutting ESO Systres because "non canon" seethe (despite ESO being the only "canon" source for anything more than one sentence about the place, so what they replaced it with ended up being completely made up anyway lol). This time it's a bunch of highly questionable culture decisions, for some reason they've nonsensically split Colovian/Nord into USSR tier made up geographically determined nationalities with no ties to anything even vaguely resembling what's in lore, Hrothgarian? Torellian? Wow literally "place-name-ian" tier, why even fucking bother. This sort of "fuck you fans" bullshit really rubs people the wrong way and is quite simply indefensible, which is why they don't even bother defending themselves and is why their own thread on Paradox's own forum is locked due to "hostility".Not sure what happened with the Elder Kings 2 mod for CK3 but I think the mod imploded a few weeks ago.
I wish East vs West would resurrected rather than having whatever the hell this is.
Stellaris but with a worse UI somehow and a fallout theme.
>belief tree is obviously aping the sephirot
I don't care how deep your retarded girlboss feels in your head. Peak reddit writing and trying to defend it is even worse.Cetana wasn't hurt and isn't lashing out. She is an extremist view on buddhist philosophy sharing the belief that conciousness is the source of suffering and her goal is to break the cycle of samsara by keeping life while removing sentience from it. Her goal is to force nirvana on the whole galaxy in an unconventional way and her persona is that of a benevolent mother there to help which is why she literally has 9 seperate face models for all 9 of the racial phenotypes.
Nigga, you don't even know how the crisis mechanics work. You imagined that only cetana does something literally every single crisis does and then got mad over it.I don't care how deep your retarded girlboss feels in your head.
You are the reason netflix makes shows for second monitor viewing. The difference is that the average netflix viewer is retarded by accident, whereas you're by choice.Peak reddit writing and trying to defend it is even worse.
Yaaas, kween slaaaay. Wanting to kill all life is like, SOOOO deep. You are the reason netflix makes shows for second monitor viewing. The difference is that the average netflix viewer is retarded by accident, whereas you're by choice.
Was about to post this as well, the game is pretty much as expected. It's Stellaris lite: heavy on the role play, has lots of mechanics giving the illusion of depth, but precious little once you scratch beyond the surface (and nice seeing comments hone in on it as well). There is some smarter design in limiting the procedural elements, but the Stellaris references again rear their head because it's all going to bleed into each other by the time they roll out a few DLC with nothing of consequence separating the different play styles (outside of the militaristic cannibal Fanatic Purifier analogues).Lemon Cake was invited to play Afterworld and here are his impressions
Cross-posting from the TNO/HOI4 modding thread.Slight derail but HOI YouTuber from the ISP sphere alextherambler has a made a video that he is now fat and depressed.

Paradox players when their governance games have governance and they can't just press a button to instantly bypass any real world limitations. Also I'm laughing at mechanics like spoilage being present because those are the first things which will be purged either before or immediately after release. The number of troon larpers who'll scream about having their perfect nonbinary utopia run ruined by such means this version of the game is the most complex Paradox will ever make it.
To render unto Caesar, EaW is bizarrely well made and very polished for being made by trannies . The gameplay cycle flows really well as the map is covered in tiny shitholes who will become functional states, wage a bunch of local wars and civil wars, then a number of major states arise from this consolidation and you could have a nice lategame showdown for continental dominance. In many ways, its the peak of what mechanically is possible with the limitations of the HoI4 engine instead of trying it to be autistic TNO simulationism. Just a bunch of continuous wars and a big war and that's it. It still about degenerate communist furries and full of donut steel OCs though.,Basically to turn his channel around he needs to start only posting Equestria at War content
Depends on how well integrated into the gameplay and how well you can deal with it as a player. Look at the EU "Inflation" and "Comet Sighted!" events if you want negative example. The game sometimes just going fuck you is not a fun experience. Getting hard gated like with Stellaris purple mana or HoI4 Hitler mana for a dozen different mechanics is not fun either.Paradox players when their governance games have governance and they can't just press a button to instantly bypass any real world limitations.
It's basically Civ: Beyond Earth all over again. Lots of bells and whistles and options and parameters and choices and personalization and customization and everything, but you look inside and discover all those buttons and levers are just painted onto the dashboard and you are on autopilot to go around the same looping track.has lots of mechanics giving the illusion of depth, but precious little once you scratch beyond the surface (and nice seeing comments hone in on it as well). There is some smarter design in limiting the procedural elements, but the Stellaris references again rear their head because it's all going to bleed into each other by the time they roll out a few DLC with nothing of consequence separating the different play styles (outside of the militaristic cannibal Fanatic Purifier analogues).
Afterworld seems like the kind of game that I would've been excited for if I didn't get burned by Stellaris and HoI4. At least we know what the point of the Nomads DLC was.Lemon Cake was invited to play Afterworld and here are his impressions
