I have good news about the beta patch today. After 1.20, the games performance got really bad with 1.2.1 for me. I use the faster universalis mod for a faster game and the speed went from 2 seconds per month to 8, and it's finally back to 2 with 1.3.2.

So, is EUV worth getting a "free trial" of, or should I wait until Johan slows down the patching and rework schedule?

Every update so far has managed to break a previously functional system, and when it gets fixed, they also break a different mechanic in the same update.

I haven't played HoI IV in a while, have they fixed the fact that the allied AI is retarded and will send infinite divisions to your frontline thereby causing supply to crater? It was awful trying to naval invade or something only for the occupied territory to go to an ally who then made it impossible to break out of your beachhead.

It's a little better than it used to be but not by much, you can turn off allied supply in any hub you capture and that helps out quite a bit.
