If they force it you will either leave (they don't understand that less audience = job insecurity) and consider that a win or you'll vaguely tolerate it like a good little piggy.

We no longer have devs that are passionate and based and want to create games for an audience of normal people. Those faggots all got pushed out by college graduate weirdos with disgusting Marxist ideology.

It's fucking annoying because it's like, just leave the old shit alone at least. I don't want your gay shit. I don't want your pronouns. I don't want to play homosex fagscape 2024 edition. I just want to play old RuneScape with the shitty graphics and a lack of gays.

I just tried to play OSRS for the first time in at least a year or so and its enlightened me to several horrifying new things.

1. OSBuddy is permanently discontinued.
2. RuneLite still works but not if you've upgraded to a JagexAccount.
3. Jagex has unleashed a universal account system that only works with their shitty launcher
4. Of my 3 accounts I only remember the password to the main which does work on RuneLite
5. Jagex Password Recovery only works for Jagex Accounts
6. Attempting to make a JagexAccount results in a screen telling me I'm blocked.

It's actually really weird, with the Jagex Launcher you can use RuneLite as a client but they completely dismiss the fact that some people probably don't want to go through the hell that can be upgrading your account :story:

It also defeats one of the main purposes of having multiple accounts; If one gets banned you have more.
When they're linked one ban wipes them all.

I remember when I was in 8th grade and they tried to do some porch monkey get-together in the game, and me and my friends showed up in white robes holding torches. Didn't even get banned lol. Good times

The revisionism is the part about it that bothers me the most; this idea that SJWs have that no cultural artifacts are permanent and that everything should be in a constant state of flux. Did Han shoot first? Did Greedo shoot first? Did your favorite game always have Body Type A and Body Type B? This notion that people are obligated to go back and deface things from the past to satisfy a cult-like ideology in the present is deeply weird and Orwellian.

You can always empty out your Steam inventory and buy one through Steam.

RuneLite is an officially approved 3rd party client. It should launch through the Jagex Launcher without issue. That's how I launch it

Sometimes they take the pozzing to such lenghts that it's honestly shocking to me how anyone can be offended by these things. For example, on the image that I posted, the "Kiss the Frog" random event is just an event that spawns some frogs around you and you have to find the Frog Prince/Princess (Used to depend on your gender, i.e: You get the princess if you are a male).

Now it doesn't depend on the gender so you can get either one and because I think they thought nobody wanted their male character to kiss a male frog they made it so you can complete the event by just patting the frogs in the head (Instead of kissing them which is the whole point because it's meant to mirror the Frog and the Princess tale).

There are some other changes like Gypsy Aris' name being changed to just Aris and when people talk about her, they refer to her as "Fortune-Telling Aris" because I guess one person got offended by the term "Gypsy". There have been plenty of mini-changes like this that no one asked for to list.

On the plus side you can get XP lamps for trading in frog tokens now
