EDIT: I forgot most people don't recognize this as specifically a Douay-Rheims Bible. The Douay-Rhiems is significant as the first mass produced Catholic Bible in English. It predates the Protestant KJV Bible and has, IMO, a better take on the old English prose that KJV is known for.

Can't y'all just fork and make your own server(s)? That's what happened with Ragnarok Online, some Aegis/rAthena pirate servers ended up being far better than the current shit. Sorry for the dated reference.
 
Community managers and their consequences has been a disaster for MMOs.

No quicker way to kill any enthusiasm your long standing game community has for your 20+ year old game by capitulating and outright cucking to leeches who only started playing less than a few years ago and can only exist in environments that demand 100% adherence to their demands.

At least with Runescape the writing was on the wall the moment they did their first forced pride event several years back. Remember the riots? Remember the 100s of people who got banned over saying 'we pay no gay'? That should tell you that the actual playerbase didn't want that shit in their game in the first place.

The rest of this post applies to ANY game, especially long standing MMOs that rely on a consistant and loyal playerbase to keep it going.
When you're at the point where developers retroactively change NPC names, quest text, removing humor or changing/removing literally anything purely to appeal to the 0.1% of your playerbase that cries about problematic content, then hammers down on moderation for those who complain, the only thing you can look forward to afterwards is further retardation because at that point they've already shown they are willing to straight up alter the game for them.

These over dramatic people aren't what keeps games alive. I don't care how much shady blackrock money a company gets for DEI initiatives, we all know that money dries up fast and what truly keeps a game afloat is goodwill from players. You lose that the moment you abandon those players to appeal to a demographic that simply doesn't exist.
 
A few things to note.
  • This is the ~4th time they've pulled this shit, unpolled. The very first pride parade had a lot of pushback and they never polled it, the ingame "parade" itself and all the subsequent ones had a lot of people trolling it with desert robes, fires everywhere, nooses and rope, some people running around using an item called "stinky sock" which lets you character say "Eww, stinky!", a fake knife that lets you fake DDS spec players, joke weapons(weapons that let you "attack" other players but they don't deal any damage) among other things. Nearly all of that shit gets disabled nowadays during the entire month or has been changed outright(the sock).
  • Polling has steadily gotten worse in the past few years. Once Jagex really wants to implement something but there is player pushback, they'll bury it in a general poll with like 50 other things that people do want. The most modern example is the addition of a new skill(yeah Sailing's finally going to be a thing)
  • This has happened a few weeks after the recent "Dead Man Mode" tournament, a collection of fresh worlds where PvP is enabled almost elsewhere and ends with a big battle royale where the winners of each combat bracket earn a cash prize.(It's like a couple of thousand dollars so it's nothing to scoff at). The winners of these tournaments has always invited some seethe mainly because the finales are almost always shit and there's a lot of allegations that a clan called Reign of Terror(rot for short) has been ddosing the servers, botting and overall pulling some unsavory tricks to win the tournaments.(Ice Poseidon was apparently involved with them at some point? Or against them?)
    • If you believe everything you read on Reddit they're also dox happy and threatened a few people IRL, called their places of work, families, even apparently made fun of someone's dead dad.
    • Point being up until now they haven't actually addressed that and I figure this is their way of burying it because this happens every year and is promptly forgotten for the next shiny thing Jagex dangles infront of the player base.
tl;dr: Jagex can go fuck itself, stop playing this shitty game or at least get your fix from any private server that's equally as faggy(Except the faggotry is in whatever discord server clique that's owning the server), or pin your hopes on Brighter Shores(new MMO by the Gower brothers, I think it looks like ass but I'm apparently in the minority there) or Black Grimoire Cursebreaker(basically singleplayer RS, I played ~10 minutes of a demo and it seemed nice and it's supposed to leave early access soon).
 
OSRS had like the least faggoty playerbase for a long time. Shit, they allied with The Donald on reddit for the r/Place thing the first time it happened. There have been riots more than once to protest the fag shit. The devs don't care. Makes me sad, OSRS was so good for a long time.
 
The game's "Point-and-click in order to move" honestly was the turn off for me--if your MMO, such as Runescape, doesn't have WASD movement, I'm just
gonna label it as "dogshit" and hop back on Maplestory.

Not in the US, even if you somehow win on demography. The US is too stable, culturally values individualism too much, and has huge swathes of otherwise healthy adults who one way or another do not have to work. Unlike stupid changing fashions, troonism is the coom, it's not going to be easily dislodged without a revolution (so, ever). Thirdworldistan flashpoints may see some success.

Yeah, when it's an actual feature, the polls will be incredibly itemized for each facet of what's being added. When it's something like microtransactions being added to the game (bonds), it'll be buried inside a poll with heavily requested features.
 
This is fucking weird. As a returning retard to Runescape after many years all I want to do is suffer in F2P mode and grind and forget about all the gay ass fucking nigger bullshit going on in the world, and even then I am going to have to bring gay politics into a fucking videogame. I don't want to be reminded about a fucking young adults autistic journey into figuring out their sexuality, and I don't want to hear about retarded teenagers and their self gay bullshit.
