I wasn't sure whether to post this in the Rs3 thread or Osrs but I ultimately decided to post it here. The Gower brothers who've created Runescape have released a trailer for a game they're planning on releasing in Q3 of this year.

I'll play it. OSRS fans obviously liked their work so I assume many will try it out.

Looks like an alternate dimension RS3. It seems to be just Andrew working on it according to the Steam description.

I'll try it, it's kind of exciting to see a new game from him, like some spiritual successor to peak era Runescape. Also I never got to be there for the very start of an MMO, that will be interesting.

Seems to be following Runescape's business model also:

I'm curious how it's going to set itself apart from Runescape. If I wasn't aware of Gower's involvement I would assume it was just an RS3 clone.
 
I dont play Runegame that often but I do revisit it from time to time. Last time I played was maybe a year ago just to flip shit on the GE during my lunchbreaks.
I had the itch to revisit it again, probably because of my boy :lossmanjack: and it turns out I got perma-banned. Apparently I was botting SEVEN (7) YEARS AGO and they just now caught me.
Huh? I never even used a damn auto clicker on the game but supposably they have super hard evidence of my botting 2555 days ago.
Super retarded, but I sent an appeal saying my bank is like worth 40m because of flipping and my highest stat is like 60 in HP. Not really hard to do and its kinda stupid just to bot easy stuff like that and only stop after its still that low.
Either way they told me to go fuck myself and denied my appeal, just proving everyone's point that we should nuke England. I might try again by emailing them directly, telling them they are mistaken and have faulty evidence. Seems almost not worth the effort just to play on that account for like 10 days and put it back off for another 11 months, but it just pisses me off that they think I did something wrong and are punishing me for it.

I'm sorry to say this guy but it seems the most logical answer is your account may have been compromised at some point. Do you remember if you were actively playing 7 years ago? Is there any way you may have been phished?

Thats a hefty accusation for them to make without believing it, especially if it means driving away a paying subscriber with good money. If it really is bullshit then you should fight it tooth and nail if you care to.

I've actually had a similar experience a few years ago. Logged back in after a year of not touching it, got banned after five minutes of doing nothing and with a pristine record to my name in the game. Jagex customer support is fucking ass and they will gladly go tell you to fuck yourself unless you have community clout.

So I 100% believe and empathize with him.
 
The common trick for botters to get unbanned is to claim their account was hacked at some point and used by a botter. I've used it a few times, and have been in Discords with others who have as well.

I dunno, Varlamore stuff, WGS just came out, clan drama, account progress updates.
I'm disappointed with how bad tormented demons loot is. Hopefully they bump up the unique rates and remove some of the trash drops.
I'm waiting on if that new dragon boss coming with Varlamore part 2 has a boss to start harassing mods for a Moons pet since those amazing designs are trapped in their prison lol.

I haven't played OSRS too long but I adore Varlamore. I've been doing lots of Hunter rumors and Varlamore Thieving. Part 2 is going to be awesome considering it's bringing an activity to train Herblore. Ironmen eat good in OSRS.

Nice, congrats. I haven't even been back because I've been busy and didn't want to waste limited game time on long kills with grimy guam drops. I did prep an arclight before the update so I'm just waiting on the price to drop/some idiot to sell theirs for cheap.

What do we want to come out with Varlamore pt 3 since the region still won't be filled out/connected with Kebos?

I don't even know because I can't pinpoint anything specific that feels like it's missing. Auburnvale looks nice though. They've planned for Redwoods being there. Maybe an alternative Fletching training method? Beyond that, an extra Slayer dungeon or two?

What's after Varlamore though? Will Sailing bring the Eastern Lands? I'd like to see OSRS's take on those.
 
Unless I blacked out and forgot they haven't had the Summer Summit yet so hopefully they'll give a hint of whats to come in part 3 and after.
OSRS Eastern Lands would be cool. I hope they do more regions instead of just leaving it at the first/most western. Some of the Ports lore gets into some weird shit and that would be fun to sea.

I hope we get Menaphos sometime soon as well, just to see them dunk on the RS3 version that's dead.
