Yea I've heard that most doctors outright refuse to operate on alcoholics with severe conditions like this because it's almost a guarantee that something will kill them, whether it be an interaction with the alcoholism or just the fragile health at this point. They don't want to risk a lawsuit. With his sepsis and the increased likelihood of amputation what are the chances they can get him healthy enough to go under the knife? Right now I assume the risk he dies on the table is so high that surgery won't touch him. Bit of a catch-22, he needs source of the infection surgically removed but both high dose vancomycin and anesthesia are likely to kill him out right.
If he follows that at all. He could easily get baited with donos and I can see him claiming he knows better than the doctors. I honestly know I'm betting against Blade's plot armor, but this is looking pretty grim. If he doesn't die in the hospital he most likely will by not following any medical orders, as he is known to do. Sepsis, even when treated properly, has a very high mortality rate.So at minimum they give him medication to help fight off the infection but you can't drink on those meds, right? So I wonder what the next week is going to look like for Blade.. He might not stream for a bit
Video clip:Hospital staff told Geezer that blades extremely intoxicated right now, and that he's on on IV.
How will we notice the difference?he won't be able to walk or might have brain damage
I assume it's out of the question to go frontier style and give him a slug of whiskey then saw his shit off un-medicated?he needs source of the infection surgically removed but both high dose vancomycin and anesthesia are likely to kill him out right.
A family member of mine had an operation and managed to pick up an infection while in recovery, it developed into sepsis and he died within 24 hours so yeah it's serious shit.QRD on sepsis? Basically just a bad infection, right? Will they chop the hoof?
He doesn't need a hospital bed he has a perfectly good hotel room to be septic in. Figure it out a little bit, niggerdoctors.
