Honestly, I wouldn’t doubt that a big reason for the limping is his stump. From how it looks at glances in his live, to how he DEFINITELY isn’t taking care of it, and the swelling in his leg, I’m almost positive it’s hurting like a mf.
Oh I totally agree. I'm just saying, even without the serious foot issue, anyone would be limping and in pain just from the repeated spills he has taken this week.
Unfortunately, people die faster when they quit drinking than they would if they’d had kept drinking (once you’ve been an alcoholic for so long). Unless you recover extremely carefully. So yeah, it’s inevitable either way.
If you're talking about dying from a withdrawal induced seizure, I would agree. That said, I certainly ran into the view that a lot of drunks had that once they got clean, their health seemed to decline.
The thing was, these guys typically had multiple co-morbidities and other underlying serious health issues that they had been ignoring for years. Now that they were sober, they noticed their physical aliments and for a lot of them, the first time they got a physical since they were in the military, they found out they had heart failure, fatty liver disease, etc. And a lot of them came to the conclusion they were healthier drinking daily to excess.
For example, the content king himself. Blade has implied that he lost his toes after he got clean, ergo there is no point maintaining sobriety. He still wasn't treating his diabetes, eating right, exercising, or quiting smoking.
You can get someone to drop their drug of choice, but that ain't necessarily going to fix shit. That is why you see some people bounce from one addiction, to another, aka the "dry drunk* stereotype.
