Moreover, state and municipal governments have no real interest in cracking down on alcohol abuse either. Alcohol sales, bars and liquor stores provide an enormous amount of tax revenue.
How did the tobacco industry get so maligned when the system is so obviously willing to rig itself to benefit a taxable vice?

(what you say makes sense; I'm legit curious how the fuck Philip Morris and friends pissed off everyone so hard as to nearly entirely bypass this indulgence granted to the spirits industry)

ETA: Also convicted drunk drivers should be shot. First offense, no exceptions.

Well, in terms of sheer lethality, smoking is significantly more pernicious than anything else. Globally, it accounts for 7.36 million deaths per year, compared to 1.29 million for alcohol, and 492,000 for illicit drugs. (U.S. numbers: tobacco: 480,000; alcohol: 178,000; drugs: 105,000.) (Source: https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/substances-risk-factor-vs-direct-deaths). Smoking also has, by far, the highest "capture rate" of any widely used drug, with 2 out of 3 people who take up the practice becoming hooked. (1 in 4 for alcohol, 1 in 5 for cocaine. Source: https://biologyinsights.com/how-addictive-is-nicotine-compared-to-other-drugs/)

I don't know that the alcohol industry is more indulged than the tobacco industry. Both are heavily regulated. The main difference is the tobacco industry has faced more legal liability over the years due to their well-documented history of lying and covering up the health risks associated with their products. The U.S. government saw no problem continuing to allow the sale of cigarettes and the collecting of the associated tax revenue. Their only dictates were things like warning labels, banning cigarette commercials on television and restricting where smokers were allowed to indulge (regulations alcohol is also subject to, although television ads are permitted at certain times of the day) . Fundamentally, tobacco just became unfashionable because society became more health-conscious, the social benefits associated with smoking were viewed as less valuable than those for alcohol, and there is the noxious impact of second-hand smoke.

Executing or forcing into rehab/prison those who become alcohol-dependent, get DUIs, or get hospitalized for binge drinking would eliminate a massive chunk of the alcohol industry's consumer base. Far more of the citizenry drinks than smokes. A cultural climate exists where people do not want to risk incarceration or execution, or their friends or family members face similar draconian punishment, because they decided to get behind the wheel after a night bar hopping, or they develop an alcohol problem. So, there is no incentive among the populace at large, the industry that profits from booze or the government sector, to establish harsh penalties for alcohol abuse.

You'll have to catch me first, copper!

He's the biggest argument in favor of state-operated/funded involuntary rehab with a "stay sober for 30 days afterward or you go to prison for six months" rider. If you show up at an ER with obvious alcohol poisoning or you OD'd to the point you needed narcan en route, you should be ripe for involuntary in-patient detox/rehab (i.e. commitment) until blood & urine tests show zero and you're behaving yourself well enough to be allowed in public again.

Forcibly relieving people of their addictions (at the state's expense) seems like a worthwhile endeavor to me provided there's a harsh penalty for spitting in its face afterward (i.e. the prison sentence, which should escalate each time the state commits an addict to detox/treat them). Go on a bender, go too far, need medical intervention to not die? Rehab's on us. Straighten up and fly right? No problem, no charge, on your way and godspeed. Shit on this kindness and forced "unfuck yourself" warning? Nah, you're a waste, and you belong in prison or dead.

Nah, Bossmanjack's verbal tic is "bro," not "dude." And not enough complaining about things being rigged and/or the presence/existence of "rats."
If our states could operate with a modicum of competence, then I would agree with you. But our criminal justice system is broken as it is. Giving them more reasons to have power over people they regularly fail is retarded.

Blade didnt have "obvious alcohol poisoning". you dont recover from that in 5 hours. He had a diabetic episode which can be fixed in the speed which we saw and him hoofing it to find his stuff. Its easy to blend in his uncontrolled blood sugar symptoms with intoxication. For this program to work for ol' Blade you'd need to figure it out with forced diabetes treatment and lifestyle changes...or prison? I thought the prisons were full and taxpayers didnt want to house crackheads anymore? Be pretty funny all the murderers, rapists, thieves, and illegals get to walk free but you take a lil day drinking nap alongside the road in Vegas you're locked up.

Now, figure out how to cheaply deliver Narcan via fog machine for an idea I have to fix L.A.

Stream snipers and IP2 degenerates are Blade's guardian angels in situations like yesterday's. There's always a Tyler or an OG Geezer in the area to bail Lit Romney out.
>have your stream of the year
>hype up that you'll be doing another litty vegas stream tomorrow
>provide no update for the entire day
>never go live

He’s probably figuring it out back in Seattle. Back to hotel hopping a little bit while he waits for his court case to finish.

I've wondered about his diabetes too. There's no way he keeps it under control right? He's lucky he hasn't gone into a diabetic coma or anything.
Diabetic coma is more of a Type 1 issue. Honestly, most Type 2 diabetics don't really do much to manage their condition, other than some half-hearted and perfunctory attempts at lifestyle changes that ultimately don't stick. Mostly, they just continue on as they had been, accepting that they will die six years earlier due to organ failure. A lot of them don't even know they have it. You can have type 2 for years, even decades, without realizing it because it doesn't affect your daily life that much. Early symptoms are usually tolerable: fatigue, blurry vision, tingling extremities, etc. In Blade's case, he had neuropathy which led him to ignore a foot wound in its early stages and then it sounds like he failed to get it attended to in time to save his toes, but that's kind of an extreme occurrence caused by his obliviousness and general dumbassery.

Blade strikes me as one of those tards who thinks giving up the fries with the baconator is portion control and cruising around on his mobility scooter is a form of exercise, so I'm not sanguine about him ever becoming conscientious regarding his health. As long as he eats food along with his jager binges, he should avoid diabetic coma (he's more likely to experience a hyperosmolar hypoglycemic state due to infection), but he's really putting a lot of wear and tear on his organs.
Is Blades diabetes totally untreated? I've never seen him use or mention insulin.
Only around a quarter of type 2 diabetics take insulin and they're usually older and more advanced than Blade.

It’s alive it’s alive!!!
He said he had to regroup yesterday, Sunday was “too much, I don’t know what happened, I blacked out a bit. Sunday was awesome.”

“Waking up in the hospital, losing all my shit, we gotta figure out how to do the content without playing frogger in the streets. Apparently I drove the wrong way down a road, apparently I was hitting peoples with my cart- scooter. All bad. All bad dude.”

“We can get litty but I gotta pace it. Don’t have a babysitter here today.” Says he has something important at 6. He can’t say. He said it isn’t zoom court, and he’s able to be drunk for it. Still feels like shit from getting litty.

“So here’s the thing. A lotta ppl are jumping on bone thinking he’s a shitty person. Bones is a homie”

“I kinda feel shitty but I was using bones as a baby sitter.”

“It’s not necessarily his responsibility to take care of me. Especially when I’m being fucking retarded, dood.”

Tard wrangling Blade is the only possible value that Bone could provide and he's failed at it, the only real content we've gotten was with Bone nowhere in sight.

Less than 48 hours since an alcoholic bender sent him to the hospital, Blade says* he is going to "be more responsible."
