Do you, like... not pay your own utilities or something? Brother, they're up everywhere. If a datacenter is being built, your grid cannot handle it. You are directly subsidizing it. It's exactly the same as EV retardation - no grid was designed to handle them, and so if anyone in your neighborhood bought them, you were paying for them.

Remember when Uber rides were $2, $3? That was because Uber was eating the costs to grow its install base, after which point it started trying to meaningfully monetize. AI is in the same state at the moment, where Microsoft spends $10bn to lose $5bn. This current era of AI is a novelty that won't last, and artists will eventually actually have to pay what they should be paying for access to these models - which will immediately curb the usage and in and of itself solve the sustainability / electricity usage. Right up until those companies actually start charging you what it costs to provide this service, however, you and I (again assuming you pay your own bills) will be subsidizing Satya's wacky adventures in pump-n-dumping Nvidia.

I don't expect Chris or anyone on Oneyplays to actually chew on any of this, because they're internet entertainers whose stint with conventional employment was a summer or two in retail. But all the same, I'm not going to go slobbing on the knob of this stock-market bubble because my internet daddy thinks it's neat. Contemplating Chris's take on the industry is about as insightful as getting life advice from Cory. If he keeps employing the tool after he has to actually pay for it (and the current monthly rates are still way below-cost), then maybe we've got something interesting: another monthly subscription to pay alongside the Adobe suite at-best.
 
I only started watching a few weeks ago but the character AI videos had me nearly passing out from laughter. What are some other good series? I tried the AI dungeon and picture ones and they were good but not as good as character AI.

My sense of humor is in shambles. Pulling out a red 9 handgun and blowing your cock and balls off just came out of left field and it just got more and more insane.

Witch Hunt has the perfect balance of " beating a game, good commentary and good cast of Chris, Zach and Tomar ". I'd say it's the best playthrough on the channel.

Were the AI dungeon the pre-pandemic ones or the 2022 ones? If you watched the 2022 ones yeah those are kind of boring. By then the AI got super cucked and mostly gave boring answers. The only exception was The Boy in Striped Pajamas review from the Nostalgia Critic.

The ones they made before the pandemic are great, it used to go along with you more and give you the same kind of unhinged answers as Character AI. At the very least you should watch the animations JabaToons made from the Prince Andrew and Jimmy Neutron bits. Those are very funny.

@Rich Evans Ayypologist you've fallen for Sam Altman ultimate stock go up scheme. His stock is so powerful that we will need to boil all the world's oceans in order to process his AI so his market cap must be unlimited, just like how our cars are driving us in the far off year of 2005 and every trucker is out of work and our groceries are reported by an advanced computer system so no one can be cashier's anymore.
