https://youtube.com/watch?v=UptQV51hl7A1:30ish Cory goes off on a tangent that'd make Tomar's eyes light up like a menorah. I fully expect a reupload in a few days, because there's no way this survives intact.

Moments like these make the other 500 Cory episodes per week worthwhile.
I found Cory's dream game.

Chris defending AI is gonna make the oneyplays kinnies and 14 year old troons seethe, but it's like the most obvious thing ever to come from him. I've seen people complain in the comments but the guy has uploaded so many fucking with AI videos (they usually do the best too), why the hell would he be like "ERM, AI is actually bad and terrible for the environment"

Chris isn't threatened by AI. He knows his type of creativity can't be copied, and he uses AI the way it's best used: to accent his content. Armenian Cory getting lava poured on him, the messing with AI videos, the songs, it's all just them using it as a tool.

Filtering moments like this are always good. You don't want to go down a purity spiral, but you also don't want to have dorks donating on stream to ask how many of your friends are queers. I'm sure the overlap between those kinda people and anti-AI seethers is close to, if not a perfect circle.

Chris is pro ICE.
Chris is a legal immigrant who is rightfully frustrated that he has to follow the rules to maintain a visa while seeing others ignoring those rules and facing no consequences. It's becoming increasingly obvious that expecting equal enforcement of the law and to be treated fairly by the government is a normal and acceptable opinion and not some extremist belief.

I agree. Hispanics hate Illegals the same way Blacks hate Niggers. They make them look bad.

I think there's a divide between "uses a tool like a tool" and "AI will do everything for me" people. Using AI as a tool or joke uses electricity, sure, but nowhere near as much electricity as a million morons asking "GROK IS THIS TRUE??"

People who fear AI electricity usage are thinking from one end of the spectrum, if every human started using AI daily it would increase electricity use quite a bit, but AI isn't there yet for people to rely on it day to day. On the other hand, if I jump into Craiyon and ask it to make me some slop or another for a throwaway joke with friends but only do that once a month, it's less of a problem.

Probably the biggest argument against AI is the training cost since it uses a lot of data and electricity to train, but that's an initial cost that's already wasted, so why not benefit from that "wasted" electricity and at least have it spit out something funny?

Hate to say it, but people are already relying on AI day to day. The normies who are fascinated by AI are using it constantly, it's pretty much in everything without even asking for it now too. I had a classmate who spent every night and day talking to ChatGPT that he'd regularly hit the rate limit and be on cooldowns, even on the paid plan that gives you a waaaay higher limit. I think Chris really is just used to abusing AI for shitposting that he forgets that millions of people are using it nearly every second and all at once which is why people are afraid of it's electricity / water usage.

Soon, Oneyplays fans will start cutting off Chris' eyes, ears and legs and arms and lips and dick and shave him bald.

So many problems solved if we region blocked third world countries. I guarantee that Grok use would plummet if non-White countries were blocked from the internet.

"Oh boy, Ding Dong is steaming No More Heroes again! I should give this a watch!"

Immediate ranting about mental illness, politicians and how mean people are.

"Nevermind I guess..."

I'm in a couple of circles: one full of artists and programmers, and another full of clients with some artists mixed in. Aside from the criticism of AI tools being energy-intensive and financially wasteful, my experience observing their opinions leaves me feeling completely removed from the issue. 4chan and Xwitter always go on about how it's going to be the death of the commission artist, but when I look at the artist/programmer server, their only thoughts are, "Yeah, that's a cute toy." Meanwhile, in the artist/client server, they’ll gleefully pay $80 per week for some of the most god awful art you’ve ever seen, rather than $20 per month to get unlimited slop gens.

My take is that AI (at this point) is mostly a boogeyman for really middling artists who haven’t recognized that they don’t get clients because their art is lackluster - or that they’re losing clients due to a pretty shitty economy right now. The fact that there hasn't been a trending post adjacent to this in a while indicates this to me.

I fucking love paying extra on my electricity bill because the grid cannot handle datacenter power demand
it is SO FUCKING COOL to subsidize gooners sitting around and generating literal thousands of images of goonbait and revenge porn every single day and this is a great use of limited resources
it's really fucking cool that a prohibitively expensive prediction model has created perhaps the biggest bubble in history, and i can't WAIT to see how much more formulaic everything becomes as the output of prediction models feeds back into those same prediction models
oh and also we've just completely annihilated literacy rates and arithmetic skills among an entire generation or two but let's be real they were already fucked by a generation of brainrotted absentee parents

I also don't really expect Internet Entertainers with No Real Work History to really think about this sort of thing, I expect them to play the first hour or two of a game before abandoning it

Learn to format your posts. Or maybe don't sperg out to the point where you can't type properly cause internet artists discussed the benefits they've seen of ai in regards to their field of interest instead of the drawbacks in whatever shithole state you live in like West Virgnia or Maryland.

It's crazy how I can just sum all of this up into brown people and Jewish influence. This literally would not be a problem if we just stopped being pussies about nuclear power. Here is a white pill: The extensive use of clean water for cooling will incentivize a kickstart in water purification/filtering research.
