Those are great episodes, but it's difficult to choose between LoTR DOS or Sonic Heroes or Hitman.
 
Rewatching the KH1 playthrough and I forgot how negative DD is through most of it and how Julien can't seem to go 5 minutes without talking about how the game was his faggot awakening and which animal creatures he wants to fuck. Which makes it funny when DD complains about complaints about him complaining and Julien sarcastically apologizes for constantly bringing up how gay he is.

Chris really carried a lot it, huh?

Witch Hunt ( goated ) Sonic Heros, both worms series, Sims 1 ( not 3 ), FNAF, Croc, RE8, RE3 original, Castlevania 1 and Rondo of blood.

I Keep trying to get into that era and I half the time it's too boring or they drone on about crap while Chris keeps trying to get through the game.
 
Thanks for all the suggestions. I also watched Shadow The Hedgehog series just a bit ago, shame they never finished it.
It's funny, Game Grumps tried to do the exact same thing(right down to the founder also being a once famous animator) and it was a disaster once JonTron left. I think only little kids watch it now, the few non-JonTron episodes I watched were awful(Sonic 06 series was pretty good, tho)
I think I recognize SpazKidin3D in some of those OneyPlays videos. That's a blast from the past, I remember loving his Sonichu TAS videos. Not surprised he became a degenerate, am surprised he supposedly fucked a tranny though.

The DD and JJ era was honestly a whole lot edgier than the newer stuff, and at times dipped into disturbing territory, i think more than once Julian made comments about wanting to fuck some random underage characters in games, which always felt really out of place amongst the other jokes. Not saying Julian is a pedo, but very different humor than what we have now.

Part of what makes either KH series funny is just how stupid the commentary and jokes can get because they're so bored by the game. Especially during the Winnie the Pooh segments.

Gamegrumps became unbearable very quickly after Jon left but I think a few of the earlier series with Dan are fun. I remember Punch Out and Sonic Boom being fine.

He did that shit a lot, I'm glad both DD and Julian were good sports about it even if Chris did run the joke into the ground a few times. The DD&J era was really the most unhinged era of Oneyplays, the lack of censoring alongside the landscape of youtube at the time really gave us something special and I am really glad they haven't went back and nuked the old uploads.

Idk about edgier necessarily, but they certainly didn't censor as heavily as they do now. Pretty sure they've even beeped "fuck" a few times for seemingly no reason. And I think part of the censoring now is because they think it's funny. I know Zach has mentioned it'd be funny to censor regular ass words like "dirt" before so that's also a factor.

Kinda like during the "goofy calling max a faggot constantly" bit in KH1, DD mentioned it'd be funny if they censored every use of the word during it but up till then they hadn't bothered.

Maybe that era just feels edgier because Julien was always talking about what animal characters he wants to fuck and how much of a fag he is, and Chris encouraging it. Then again, we have Spaz who's a degenerate porn addicted coomer and tranny fucker and he's very happy to talk about his gross indulgences.

Not related to this topic, but when Chris talked about his cringey shad "take it ez babe" drawing, he called shad a "nice, respectful man who doesn't start shit with people". Guess we all like to forget that even Chris was super buddy buddy with the pedophile like everyone else from the Cabin except for Jeff.

As far as I know, Shad really didn't start too much shit with people until he became a junkie where that characterization completely flipped on it's head and he ruined his life be cutting the thin line of acceptance he had with other creators by starting shit with everybody. Chris isn't the kind of person to jump down people's throats for being involved in tasteless things which is a good trait of his, so I think it's poor characterization of Chris to act like being friendly with Shad is some kind of blot on his record.

The Ding Dong and Julian era was so great because it started just before Pewdiepie dropped the n-bomb and Youtube really started cracking down on edgy humor and slurs. You could still be openly edgy and get away with it back then. Idubbbz literally got away with saying nigger repeatedly in one of this videos and had no issue at the time lmao. As time went on they had to increase censorship because of Youtubes new policies.

Sure, maybe in person. But before he went completely off the rails he was still drawing cartoon CP, drawing keemstars daughter and LT Corbis(regardless of what anyone thinks of these people thats just fucking gross) and drew the child actress from Logan. All before he became a certified cow.

I dont think it's a poor characterization to point out that all of the sleepycabin, minus Jeff, were all buddy buddy with the dude in spite of his extremely sketchy bullshit. Especially when it later came to light that he used real CP as references. Which reminds me.

During one of the sleepycasts Spaz himself just outright admits to looking at CP for references, phrasing roughly as "illegal type of pussy you're not supposed to talk about".

I'm not passing moral judgment on Chris or anyone, other than Shad and Spaz, because I'm not their friend and dont give a real fuck since it doesnt impact me. He, and the rest, are just random internet people who make me lol. I'm just pointing out that it's weird that everyone pretends like it's totally not fuckin weird that this is a group of people who were a-ok with their friends being pedophiles. And it's extra odd how people seem to get personally offended and white knight for a bunch of dudes who don't know you or give a fuck, or care what anyone thinks.

Then again, this is also a thread that had pages and pages of spergery over Oney being cheated on/cucked as if it was their personal friend who got fucked over. Cults of personality are a hell of a drug I guess.
