If you think I’m mean for insulting the way Oda draws children, then you’d hate to see me criticizing the Dragonball Franchise.

I can’t stand the way Toriyama draws eyes. Not just the kids, the Saiyans, the aliens, EVERYBODY in DB just has the most blank, slack jawed look in their eyes.

It’s too bad he jumped to conclusions when Doffy spoke to him about the Ope Ope Fruit. By now, he would have been a top dog in the family. I mean, his introduction scene and poses just SCREAMED the types of themes the Doflamingo Family stood for.

If Doffy wanted to kill Rosinante, he would have done so when he killed his idiot father. Just shut that pathetic looking, bang-eye covering, lying-about-being-mute (even before he disappeared), deceiving little kid face up right then and there.

Doffy truly loved Rosinante. I really felt for the two brothers when Doffy learned the truth.

And I know how Doffy reacted with bloodlust to the commoners, but guess what? Turned out it WASNT his arrogance that revealed their Tenryubito. It was that idiot, Homing, who bragged about it.

I don’t blame Doffy for reacting like that. He was 8. He was old enough to form such opinions.

I blame Homing for being an idiot.

I don’t blame Rosinante for anything he did as a child other than looking pathetic (it’s easy for One Piece depicted children to do so though). I blame him for disappearing, joining the marines (which, in case you guys haven’t noticed yet, the One Piece Navy is just as corrupt as the Pirates) and deceiving his only living family member.

Whether you are good or evil, family is family.
How was Rosinante supposed to know the Marines were as corrupt as the pirates? Rosinante is a better person than Doffy by a mile, he was thrown into a bad situation by his father and probably thought the Marines was his only way out.

the dressrosa arc ended years ago and @TrippinKahlua is still not over the fact that doflamingo is a psychotic loon (not flamingo) that is in the wrong

it's like he's got battered wife syndrome for the rough equivalent of a cult leader

Also this:

1. I don't think it was ever said whether or not Doflamingo shared his long-term plot with Corazon, but he at least knew his brother enough to know what it was. Doflamingo wanted Corazon to eat the fruit (not knowing he already had one) so that he could eventually use the Immortality Operation on him. He openly plotted to brainwash Law into doing so once he found out what happened to the fruit.
2. He was a top dog in the family, he was one of the executives AND he was second-in-command to Doflamingo by nature of being his blood relative.
3. His introduction was him bullshitting. The Don Quixote Family was luring in kids with rough backgrounds to join so Corazon made damn sure they all ran like hell.

Doflamingo can't love anyone other than himself. Like you, he blamed Corazon for his supposed having to execute him for betrayal.

Anime doesn't count. Doflamingo was the one who wouldn't let it go, the manga showed that much.

1. Rosinante ran the fuck away after watching his older brother shoot their father in the head (and maybe cut it off). This is what any sane and very traumatized person would do at any age.
2. The first stable person he met after all that was Sengoku, who generally believes in doing what's right but is bit too attached to the rules for his own good. Of course he's going to join the Navy. (That Rosinante went behind his back and planned to abandon his mission is what shocked him the most). Also as a side-note, if the entire Navy is so corrupt, how do you account for guys like Garp, Smoker, Fujitora, or the existence of SWORD?
3. Doflamingo doesn't care about his pirate crew beyond how much use he can get out of them as long as he can. He may be lenient with them but that's only to ensure he can continue to string them along. I think on some level at least the executives realize this, otherwise Trebol wouldn't have flipped out when Law himself said as much.

The most interesting thing about this chart is how, besides Yamato, it doesn't seem like anyone from Wano is really grabbing people.
Ain't that interesting. Yamato is a hot chick whose sideboob is on display and she fucks shit up. The last SBS had someone asking Oda to anthropomorphize her sideboob.

You know, I just troll about Rosinante because, again, it goes back to the way Oda depicts children.

What did Law do after his life was saved by Rosinante? He deliberately disobeyed him. Corazon gave him the secret message, said to give it to a Marine but to draw no further attention. That it was really Vergo whom Law gave the message to doesn’t matter yet. Law still had to be an idiot One Piece Kid and baw like a bitch over his adult friend who already knew what to do.

Doflamingo is a horrid person. There’s a bigger picture about him though. Rosinante didn’t have to come back into his enterprises.

All of them, Homing, Rosinante and Doffy were in the wrong

(and sorry, Homing is the one who blurted being a dragon first)

Which is weird, because I think Wano’s stakes are the most effectively rooted in the citizens of Wano. I certainly care more for them then I cared for the Alabastans.

You mean Oda depicts children as children, likely to make stupid decisions and react overly emotionally? Holy shit, that hack. Next he'll depict teenagers as impulsive.

Lazy dismissals aside those are some interesting results. I knew Ace continued to be popular but that's impressively high for a dead man (see also Oden at 24, Gol D. Rodger at 29, Whitebeard at 31 and technically Brook at 26). Woop Slap at 37 is proof the internet is never not trolling.

Anyone got a link to the results by region? I seem to recall that Law in particular did noticeably better in certain parts of the world.

Oh for God’s sake. This is what I get for trolling about Rosinante again…

Apparently the dub is on break just after the flashback ends.

At any rate, just rewatched bits of the last part of it. Particularly the moment where Doffy kills Homing. The thing is, Doffy did react a bit apprehensive about it. But Homing was an idiot, and he did truly deserve it

(I’m just a troll when it comes to Rosinante because I hate treachery in general, even if it’s within villains, but when it comes to Homing, he was a true jackass moron for not seeing it coming and to put through what his family had to deal with. He goes about on his first day of being a “normal human” and brags about moving from MarieJois. What the hell was he expecting? Doffy never was granted the right to commit patricide because of it, but what do you expect from someone who’s already groomed into the life of a celestial dragon?)

At any rate, a lot of this is, in fact, still relevant. What does Donquioxte Myosgard have to do with it? Is he Homing’s brother?

From what I found, they have not confirmed what relation, if any, Myosgard has to the other named Donquixotes.

How dare you say that when Momonosuke exists.
Momo was really annoying but he's grown on me. He also has an important place in the story. Carrot only seems to exist to have shown off the Su Long form and to try and milk sympathy from Pedro's death, even though Pedro was a good enough character for people to actually care about him. Gonna suck when he's revealed to be alive.

Yeah... that's not gonna happen.

On another note, this should be interesting.

Honestly I think the most interesting thing is the points drop off points.

The Dropoff after Luffy and Zoro, then after Sanji is pretty huge. Then you get another big slide after Nico.

I think the story is "One Piece Fans ARE THIIIIIRSTYYYY AS FUCK."

Also Senior Pink being 74 is a FUCKING CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY.

Law at #5 in that poll honestly makes me want to puke. Oden being #24 is pretty disgusting too.
