Looks like I missed out on a stimulating discussion.

Bit of an update since my last post on One Piece Treasure Cruise (should this belong to the Games General?), but it looks like the dust has settled after one whole month of delays, wrongful confiscations, reimbursements, anxiety, and etc. in order to correct that infinite gem glitch. The developers really didn't have a rollback state, how strange. My ill-gotten units were predictably taken away, along with all the Rainbow Gems in my possession, even the ones obtained from regular gameplay, but it wasn't a dealbreaker for me.

Then a couple days ago, the developers released another maintenance update to return characters and powerup items they accidentally took from players that weren't part of the glitch (my roster was unscathed). For those who had all their gems taken away, they made another bizarre choice to return a certain amount of characters rolled using the glitched gems instead of just giving back the original amount outright. So now I have 3 new 6-star (SSR) characters to call my own: Dogstorm & Cat Viper as dual units, Whitebeard (V2), and Zephyr from Film Z. This is apparently the final update on the subject.

All in all, I've mostly made out of this fiasco like a bandit. Ironically though, Vivi & Rebecca, the reason why I decided to participate in the gem glitch in the first place, are once again out of my reach.

On a related note, the past month has been the Global version's collaboration with OP: Stampede. I'll see if I can pull up character cards for anyone interested in taking look.

EDIT: Found some isolated splash art for many of the featured characters, which I'll put below. There's also a site that contains most of the game character art for the Stampede collab, though I don't see a way to remove the banners. How annoying.

1,000 soldiers plus King and Queen and they still needed to cheat to take down Oden. Wow, Kaido is a fucking bitch.

From what we know I'm guessing Oden is going to one-man army his captors to help his allies escape and probably dips the shapeshifting old hag and guy with the barrier fruit into the pot of stew with him.

Love how little of a shit he seems to give in the last panel though.

We're definitely going to see him use Conqueror's Haki next chapter, we've gone the whole flashback without him using it and shit going down at the Flower Capital would be the perfect time for him to show it.

i blame @TrippinKahlua for the break this week though

There’s no break this week... or am I wrong?

more off-model weirdness

Anyways, is anyone else looking forward to the intermission? I'm slightly more excited for it than I am the ending to act 3, mainly because it's where all the other plot threads from the series are tying together and the world's spiraling out of control and I'm loving it.

Wake up, smoke a *yawn*, it’s Friday! Time for my One Piece fix

Lol, as usual, the cover story is basically depicting the exact same thing as last time.

I watched Stampede over the weekend, there's a better-but-still-engrish sub out there now, and it was the weakest of the time skip movies. It came across like it would have been better as a good four episode filler arc. A real heavy emphasis on the poor 3D CG, the animation, while that nice Wano arc style, still wasn't animated well, and nearly the whole crew gets pushed to the side. I did enjoy Smoker having a bigger role (he and Zoro are my favorite characters in the series), but cameos and appearances started becoming forced and detrimental to the plot.

I still consider Baron Omatsuri and Z the best of the films.

Summary- (Yet to be fully confirmed but is legit as of now according to sources)

Reason behind Oden's weird behavior for the past 5 years has been spread across the folks and the people are starting to understand him.
Oden puts down a flag of his own.
"If i can endure through this boiling execution, I want to open up this country."
Oden, "From the distant past, it was the Kozuki family that seals the country from the outside world. This is to protect Wano from "certain strong power". Wano.. no, not just Wano, the whole world is waiting for a certain someone! When the certain someone shows up after crossing through 800 years, Wano needs to be a country that can welcome and assist this certain person."
Oden, "But i will be honest, they will definitely kill me today, so i hope all of you can help me open up Wano to the world."
Oden endures through the hour, everyone was very happy.
Orochi, "I just changed my mind a minute ago. It will be changed to a shooting execution. And this applies to his whole family."
Oden throws out the nine scabbards with all his might. He wants them to escape and do not turn back, help him realize his dream of opening up the country.
Kaido, "No matter what, your body has been dead. For the last compassion, I will be the one who execute you."
Kaido, "Your honorable death will be passed on by the rest."
Oden, "Even if I am forgotten, that's fine. My soul will forever live on."
Kaido, "Sorry about the old lady for I have already killed her."
Oden, "I hope you give your best to become stronger.."
Kaido executed him when Oden was still saying his words. The folks helps him finish his words.
Oden falls in the boiler, dying with a smile on his face.
Curtain closes, the next main character take stage.
Upon receiving the obituary of Oden, Toki opens up a letter left by Oden which was kept in a drawer.
Oden, "Toki, I am already at my peak. If i couldn't defeat Kaido, this means that at this point of time, there is no one else can defeat him. 20 years in the future, the world is probably gonna experience "a giant war" that can split the sea. Which means that, in 20 years, the main character of "the giant war" will come into the new world, the one that can defeat Kaido will be them. Wano will go on a very very long winter, when the time comes, i hope you can use your power. If i die........"
Halfway through the letter, Toki tears the letter up..
Story continues in the current timeline!!

Final panel with Toki (Rough translation - "You are going to make fun of me if I cry, right?""We are not your weak point !!""Look at the future in 20 years, Oden !!!""And the story continues its course in the present !!!")

No break next week

More to come ...

Spoilers are out!
