Yawn, haven't bothered to read this weeks chapter yet due to summer tourism business.

Plus, the entire chapter seems like padding.

Edit - I admit I didn't even read the spoilers. This was a great turn of events

Queen is such an idiot. Desperately took Big Mom away yet left a Fresh Fifth emperor without cuffs.

Okay, so maybe the dynamic with the Disasters might help us figure out what King is like before we actually see him proper.
-Jack is the crazy, shoot first ask questions later, type who's pretty single-minded when it comes to getting shit done
-Queen is smart and a strategist, not likely to leave anything to chance (the way he had Big Mom locked up screams "get this wrong and we'll fucking die")
-King is ___[insert missing piece here]

Also @TrippinKahlua, FYI, with your waifu Big Mom the center of attention and Queen recuperating (no matter how quickly) from the beatdown she laid on him, I doubt he was even aware Luffy was uncuffed, or even the one being chased for that matter. But that's my $0.02.

Yonkos and their crews underestimating Luffy (and Supernovas) in general is a current theme at this point of the series.

Big Mom paid for it with significant losses in WCI arc, and now Kaido is heading towards the same outcome.

I hope Linlins first reaction to being a prisoner of Kaido won't be offscreened. This thing about her being captured and her memories coming back is gonna pique my interest. New Big Mom as adolescent flashback please Oda.

And tbh this mirrors Franky in Water7. They both began as bad guys but get captured by someone worse. I bet when the children learn of Big Moms capture they are gonna ally with the Straw Hats. Especially if Pudding came.

New cover story: “The Fire Tank Pirates that had successfully escaped”

Info:

To make sure things doesn’t get out of control, the prisoners stop Luffy.

In order to give the prisoners hope and to get them out of Luffy’s way, Kawamatsu receives the key and someone’s favorite sword and break out.

Okiku and Raizou has revealed their identities, and they sees that Grandpa Hyo really is Hyogoro.

Okiku is going to stop them from reporting to Kaido.

- Kiku's epithet is Remaining Snow.

- This chapter consists of 17 pages.

- A new kind of sword appears in the chapter. It's called Love Sword (愛刀) or something like that.

- Kawamatsu used to be the strongest Sumo wrestler. As wolfwood mentioned, Kawamatsu's first name Yokozuna is given to strongest Sumo wrestler.

- His sword is called Soto-musou (Sumo technique)

How funny that the day after my favorite character's birthday is my least favorite character's birthday. I know, he's not exactly meant to be likable, but...

Are there any serious contenders for "best manga of all time" next to One Piece?

Even Miura, whom I love, has to tip his hat to Oda. The only guy I know who doesn't appreciate his work is that hack who made Gantz.

There's a good chance he is. Oda's not one for neglecting to get mileage out of a concept.

You think the sumo wrestler already knows Kiku's a dude? Or if not, would he still not mind?

A gay-panic joke seems a bit to obvious for Oda.
 
okay, Kawamatsu has been given the Bartolomeo treatment. Back in Corrida, Barto was set up at first to be cruel, ruthless, and scary. So what was his appearance? A very stupid looking face with lip piercings and a face stupid just for the sake of looking even stupider when he fans over Sempai.

And now we just had two months of knowing it was Kawamatsu in the shadows. All this build up and what is Kawamatsu? A Squat Fat guy.
