Today is Donquixote Rosinante's birthday! Here are his many pixiv tags, and here's a pixiv tag that sums up my feelings about him.

I just hated how he betrayed his own flesh and blood. I hate seeing brothers betrayed. You know Sentai right? It's the opposite of Burai and Geki.

Corazon was deceitful. He was a liar. Lied about not having powers. So he was doing it for the navy? Screw that isn't the Navy supposed to be just as bad as pirates?

And the way he died was poetic. Doffy was let down and disappointed. All he tried to do was live a desirable life because his father made a stupid decision.

And as it was Laws decision to deliberately disobey his Cora-San's orders was just as stupid. Rosinante could still be alive today if Law wasn't being selfish.

All that said, I just need some damn English Dressrosa dub so I can understand it better.

But I just hate brother betrayals in fiction. I wish I had a brother

how the fuck do you side with Doflamingo, one of the cruelest characters in the series, in all of this?

I don't side with Doffy. I thought what he did to Dressrosa was dispicable.

The thing that gives me sympathy for him was his fathers stupid decision. And Rosinante had to suffer the most being younger. I remember his pathetic child appearance.

Doflamingo loved and trusted his brother. He was let down by his own family not once but twice.

Keep in mind that decision only backfired on them because kid-Doflamingo couldn't keep his mouth shut about being a Celestial Dragon. Otherwise they'd have probably just gone on to live unremarkable lives.

And if he loved his brother so much, why did he plan to have him eat the Op-Op Fruit (even Corazon knew he was planning on using it to obtain eternal life; the power that which requires the user to sacrifice their own life).

Doflamingo's reaction to Corazon before and after killing him wasn't feelings of betrayal, he was fucking pissed someone so deep in his inner circle got the better of him (infiltration without being caught for so long, getting Law out of there with the Op-Op Fruit) and laughed in his face about it. Which he established multiple times in that very arc is something he absolutely despised.

Today is the birthday of Hammond, the New Fishman Pirate taken down by Robin.

You know guys, I have been in this fandom for a long time. I gave the 4Kids Dub the benefit of the doubt for the longest time.

I have strong opinions on everything in each arc. When you come from a family where you are the only guy in a sea of woman cousins and sisters and many of your close friends are girls, you beg to have had a brother for your entire life.

I don't care how evil Doffy was. Homings idiotic decision. In a dangerous universe like this, was STILL.the descent that tarnished that branch of the Donquiote Family. Homing on instantly saw he was a damn fool. Toddler Roscinante tortured with his appearance and hair being pulled. Momma Doflamingo dying which clearly harmed both brothers in different ways.

NOTHING about their childhood was Doflamingos fault. He only blurted out his Tenryubito Status apparently but that was bound to leak.

And seeing a brother getting stabbed in the back the way he did was heartbreaking. Rosinante couldn't even be honest on a basic level, turning into this clumsy mute, pretending you don't have powers, especially when you are holder of the Heart Seat.

Rosinante was deceitful for years. Lying under his powerful brothers face.

He should have waited if he wanted to take down the Dressrosa plan. To me, seeing Law screw up in one fell swoop was a huge GOOD moment along with Vergo kicking the traitor in the face.

Chapter 949 spoilers out.
I don't mind the Udon stuff, since I see a lot of people on forums bitching about it taking too long, but I do hope that after this chapter, we can see what happened in the Flower Capital

Wire, a member of Kid's crew, has his birthday today, as do Michael and Hoichael. It's also the birthday of Nugire Yainu, the guy who was executed in Kuro's place.

New chapter is out:

Honestly, the spoilers didn't do this chapter justice, it has probably one of the best Luffy moments in the series.

I can't wait to see this get animated. I'm also legitimately wondering exactly what the terms of Oda's deal with the devil is, the dude has been topping himself for 22 years now!

There's also a one-shot remake of the Zoro/Mihawk fight with Boichi art, it's really good too.

This is a great week to be an OP fan.

Today is Prometheus's birthday! He shares his birthday with Yu, the girl who lost three scoops of ice cream to Smoker's pants.

It's amazing to see just how far Luffy has come. This is incredible, he's proving himself to be a competent leader and captain. The liberation of Wano is looking to be amazing. If this keeps up...

I think Wano's going to raise the Straw Hat jolly roger at the end of this like what Fishman Island did. Wano's going to be under his protection, maybe not at the end of the arc, but whenever Kaido's down for the count.

I agree. I know a lot of fans were excited for this to be kinda the Zoro arc, but I'm so glad Oda has focused on what a fucking monster Luffy has become. I think we needed this to show that Luffy really is near the top now, not quite there yet, but much closer. With him fighting nothing but other strong monster class characters recently it became hard to appreciate how far Luffy has come, so I'm really enjoying the Udon stuff.

I'm too tired to read the chapter and keep up with location teleporting, Kiku and Hiyori looking the same, and whose alias is what.

I'm gonna be keeping up with Wano anime during my closed season for sure.

Life in a resort is rough.

lets give my thoughts if I can muster the energy.

- so yes. Luffy is the man. I was first excited to see him fight alongside Big Chopper which I'm not sure has been done before not counting anime only events.

- And I gotta confess. From highest to lowest, Luffy is one of my least favorite of the ensemble. I never really liked the "Idiot Hero" trope often used in anime productions. And when Kuma blew everyone away I just flat out stopped following the story because an only Luffy story wasn't gonna do it for me.

But as 2010 and the decade came, the Funi dub came too. And that annoying 4Kids Woody Woodpecker was replaced with a whimsical but confident voice. One who represented Luffy's life of freedom. I began to see the true Luffy and respected his leadership skills. Skills he proved in Alabasta and Enies Lobby.
