-lol, even the goats don't care for caesar, and he's too full of himself here to notice
-@TrippinKahlua called it, I think. Komurasaki's been bookending the acts this arc.
-What IS the song from, and maybe she wears that mask to hide whatever expression she makes when playing it
-Ugh, so close, O-Robi, you almost had it. Thank god she didn't actually go in there herself though.
-NINJAS ARE ON THE LOOSE
-Orochi's a jolly and thirsty mofo. And shallow. Maybe.
-Kyoshiro trying to wax poetic. What the fuck HAS she done anyway that's so scary? Is this referring to that flashback where she screwed that dude out of all his money?
-Kyoshiro, once again, showing he does not care for Orochi, the (justified) paranoia of whom he spoke of starting to show.
-The guests at Orochi's party are in for a big fucking surprise once they find out he was right.
-Kin'emon is the leader of the Nine Red Scabbards? Are his fellow retainers members as well? Who are the other eight?
-Huh. Who could have ever thought that the Straw Hats flying off the handle could potentially screw things. Though it's interesting that he's wrong about the attacks being ordered, he's right to take it seriously.
-@neural you still think the mystery prisoner is Oden?
-We've just about passed from implied to confirmed that Komurasaki is Hiyori.
-I REEEEALLY want the partygoes to eat crow. Orochi's 90% right on the goddamn money.
-NOOO O-TOKO NOOOO
-GODDAMN, Komurasaki... you got some big-ass balls on you...
-Big-ass balls indeed.
-We see Orochi's final form, and each head looks INSANE, like Aku from Samurai Jack... wait a minute...
-O-Robi jumps into action, the Ninja's attack, and Kyoshiro's getting a little excited...

Today is Butchie's birthday.

I called that? No, I'm sure I picked it from others such as Joy Boy. Obvious is obvious.

Onigumo and Gonbe have their birthdays today.

When Whitebeard dies IRL.

Yes, I still think Oden is the prisoner, it's gotten seemingly weaker I know, but I can't think of anyone else who can fill the role of a guy who was kept as a prisoner for 20 years. Like, why would Kaido keep Scopper Gaban as a prisoner for 20 years? why not just kill him and be done with it? f course keep in mind that even if it is Oden, no one knows what his condition might be.

The Orochi thing is interesting, like I can see why his entourage is skeptical of his claims, he's been probably raving about it for 20 years now. Another thing I find interesting about him is that he's probably not utilizing his DF properly, nor is he a particularly good fighter, so I can totally see him being Momonosuke's opponent, the "small dragon vs 8-headed dragon" theme will be interesting too.

I really want to get a glimpse of Luffy again though. It's been too long. :sigh:

I really want to get a glimpse of Luffy again though. It's been too long.

Its what he gets for showing off. Detention.

Him, Caribou and Kidd are likely in prison having "Breakfast Club" moments, where all of them start maturing and realize if they keep being arrogant like they constantly are, especially concerning how arrogant Luffy is based on his feelings, they are never going to be King of the Pirates.

And here's my only thought for the last chapter.

You ever seen or played Kings Quest V? At the end of the game, the old wizard spends like 3 minutes repeating everything you've learned up to that point.

That's all this chapter was. Reminding us of what's already been set up, and to remind us (if that's even possible) of the many feudal Japanese named people, lurking in the shadows. I'm sure this Ninja Squadron is gonna be important later on, but I'm not looking forward to having another 11 characters with names like "Omonosuke, Kyshirosho" or whatever.

Also, why are people still talking like Orochi's DF was "revealed"? That happened like four chapters ago.

20 years? What? Where was it said that the dude's been locked up in that cell for 20 years?

Also let's hold off on the bad fighter claim until we know what his devil fruit actually does, for all we know he might be one of those guys who relies exclusively on it and sucks in all other areas as a result.

Are you seriously still bitching about luffy. And the japanese naming? Good god.
Also no this chapter did other things than recap shit. It explored Orochi's character, developed Komurasake's, and gave us a bit of Wano lore (and set up some other shit later).
And Orochi's devil fruit was only seen in shadows up until chapter 932, that's the reveal happening here.

Huh, I just went back and checked, and I think I misremembered the 20 years bit, it wasn't even mentioned lol.

But recall that the guards don't even know the prisoner's name at all, so he must have been there for a long, long time.

Re: Orochi: He's shown throwing the sheath away (which is a complete no-no for any serious swordsman in the series, only other person who did it is Luffy, and he got yelled at by Zoro for doing it) and swinging his sword wildly at O-Toko.

That's not a lot to go on, but I don't think he's meant to be making a strong impression here, reminds me a lot of Spandam if I'm honest. He's the type of character that is meant to be extremely contemptible, while still retaining some measure of comedy. And I like him because of it all.

If I had to bet on who would cross swords with Kinemon, it would probably be Kyoshiro.

@Mr. 0 you should have seen me a decade ago and how much I refused to follow the going ons after Kuma separated them.

One Piece was ruined for me until Luffy got his crew back.

Today's the birthday of Mikazuki, a pirate who, along with his crew, got his ass kicked by Galley-La.

Pekoms went Sulong in the anime last night. With 100% more detail than the manga depicted. I felt that the manga didn't show enough of what it looked like.

Also looks like the anime department forgot that Snack was demoted.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that Snack is getting more shots, lines, and things to do, but he seems more like he is calling the shots than Oven is.

Time for another MasterDisaster spergy One Piece Theory!

I've been mulling this one over ever since Franky was first introduced. Now right off the bat one of the most telling points about this is the background that's utterly barebones; he just shows up at Water 7, no history, and simply states that he was 'thrown away'. Now while Iceberg and Tom build legitimate ships Franky just builds 'Battle Franky's' which are pretty much more weapon than boat. So we all know how shit goes down; the Puffing Tom takes Tom, Franky get's fucked by a train and he ends up battered and broken on some drifting ship. Now while any other person would probably just up and fucking die Franky turns himself into a fuckin' cyborg; I don't know about you but that's not something that any sane person would decide to do in that situation. See if the boat can find land, get some peg legs, hooks, eyepatch. Not do surgery on oneself with random shit found on a derelict boat.

This strongly plays into my theory that Franky is the son of Vegapunk, illegitimate or otherwise. Who else in the One Piece world took a living person and turned them into a human weapon? Just Dr. Vegapunk turning Kuma into a Pacifista. Franky is clearly incredibly intelligent, if overly eccentric, and his ability to built a cyborg body that runs on cola is nothing short of genius.

To further the theory when the crew was separated Franky ends up at Vegapunks home country of all places; he finds his home thanks to some locals and then finds his hidden laboratory. I don't know about you but I doubt that just any shipwright could look over old blueprints and understand them, let alone get inspired by them.

It's actually due to Franky's eccentric behavior that I feel he was cast aside. While I'm sure his father falls under the category of 'Mad Scientist/Genius' he probably doesn't have much patience for bullshit. While we haven't met him yet in the series it can be gleaned that he's constantly fucking busy and is pretty much given free reign in the World Government. There's no doubt in my mind that Franky was simply ignored, cast aside or hell, even kidnapped and dumped when the kidnappers realized no one was paying the bounty.

Today we celebrate the birthday of Little Oars Jr!

Okay, last week spoiled me with that early release, and my workplace his hosting a festival all week. I happen to be off tomorrow and Saturday night and Friday morning. So it better come out quick.

And just give me one more page of Big Mom.

If Joy Boy theories is right, Big Mom may truly be in for a reset button in her character.

We all know Big Mom isn't truly evil.
