Feel free to sperg on about anything you want my dude. Let those walls of text fly!
First up: Crocodile going trans. As many of you know Crocodile has both a history with Whitebeard and Ivankov and for a good reason. I believe initially Crocodile was a female pirate that wanted to make a name for herself so she went after Whitebeard. Whitebeard refused, of course, because a classy fucker like that doesn't strike a woman. So Crocodile hunted down Ivankov and convinced them to turn him into a male with their hormone ability. He went back, challenged Whitebeard and got his assed owned; pretty sure that's how he got the scar on his face and lost his hand.

Next: Teach has three fruit powers. It's been discussed for quite some time seeing as how he both has the Quake fruit and Yami fruit and yet his body doesn't seem to be freaking the fuck out on him. My belief is he has a third fruit; the inu inu fruit, model Cerberus. Shanks brought it up with Whitebeard when Ace was hunting down Teach...that the three scars on his eyes were caused by Teach yet to this date we've never seen Teach use a weapon of any kind. I think Teach initially had a zoan type, (which would explain him surviving pretty much all the attacks being thrown at him given the natural vitality and toughness of other zoan types; I mean Whitebeard straight up uses his power at pointblank range on his head and it doesn't kill him) and just kept it under wraps while he was with Whitebeards crew so no one knew about it.
Now he already has the Yami fruit; I don't think this allows him to get a devil fruit power. He wanted this power because it's the perfect shield. The real trick here, however, is the zoan type. Cerberus's heads each represent something...birth, life and death. As you've seen with Marco Mythical types tend to have incredibly unique powers associated with them. When a devil fruit uses dies, as explained by Donflamingo, it regrows somewhere in the world. Blackbeard, however, uses his zoan ability to make it reappear right where he is. That's why his crew is hunting down powerful fruit users; even if they refuse to join he'll still kill them and take the fruit right then and there.

I've never been a big fan of the "Crocokama" theory but Crocodile's Vivre card gives me pause on that. At the very least it acknowledges the theory (like how the manga gave a nod to the "Kid lost his arm to Big Mom" theory).

@MasterDisaster Fishman Island's flashback of Whitebeard showed his crew at that time and Blackbeard had a claw weapon on his right hand (wolverine claws).

As far as I'm concerned with Linlin, I just want to know one yes or no answer from Oda.

Is Streusen Perospero's father?

I have yet to actually finish the Fishman Island dub but I need to get something off my chest.

There is a location that was localized as "Conch-Cord" plaza.

That term is NOT pronounced with the Ch. it's pronounced "conk"!

I live in a Caribbean region island where that edible mollusk is a whole industry, I should know.

They didn't even get the pun right by mispronouncing the word.

Edit- sorry, didn't notice I was double posting. I was drunk last night

Today is Fukaboshi's birthday!
He shares his birthday with Haruta and Gloriosa.

Wait, i thought he and his brother were triplets.

The whole Sanji-Stealth Black thing makes no sense.

Like, it would make sense for Stealth Black to have the same color scheme and Sanji and the power he always wanted for himself, if Stealth Black was based on Sanji. But how can that be?

Law says he read the manga during his time in North Blue. He left North Blue at young age to join Doflamingo's crew, meaning Stealth Black was already introduced at that point. Law is 5 years older than Sanji, so if he was a child back then, Sanji must've been a toddler. A toddler who somehow grew up to be like the fictionalized version of himself he didn't even like.

Law was low-key fanboying, so I imagine he's been importing the comics since he knows so much after so long. I think that'd be hilarious.

Today is Vista's birthday!

I wish he and Whitebeard's other commanders besides Marco and Ace actually did something to make them worthy of their rank.

So many of the WB pirates and allies seemed like Fodder. What's the Make-up mans name? What about that tubby Southern accent voice pirate? I heard he had a Catterpillar (sic) Devil Fruit but no such power was ever used in the War.

Squard, Marco and Ace seemed to be the most significant players of the arc.

Squard's situation in particular really pulls at my feels.

TBF, Oda has admitted that Marineford "felt like a detour", and given his penchant for dragging shit out it was probably for the better that the focus was mainly on the main events and key players. We might be seeing some of these people show up later but who knows.
If "make-up man" you're referring to is the geisha-looking dude then his name is Izo and he's from Wano Country, so if we're lucky we might catch him in this arc.

Spoilers are out apparently:

Chapter Title: Shogun and Oiran

Cover Page: Caesar is writing a hiring poster devotedly to hire people to help him build lethal weapons. A goat is eating his paper.

Description:

At the banquet, everyone is immersed in the music Komurasaki is playing.Oniwabanshu questioned Robin. Robin claimed herself to be Witching Hour Boy and that she is here to investigate the money flow in the Flower Capital. The head of Oniwabanshu gives order to arrest Robin. Robin is attacked. The next second she turns into flower petals and escapes. Yup that Robin is merely a substitute using her DF power. While escaping, Robin contacts Nami, Shinobu, and Brook and tells them there are at least 11 ninjas in the mansion. The head of Oniwabanshu orders them to continue pursuing Robin. Robin returns to the banquet.Orochi shouts at the people at the banquet: It's the 20th year after Kouzuki Oden's death and is said to be the year of revenge according to his wife. Oden's will still exists in this world. One of his men appears to be impatient and says: Here he goes again...Orochi goes on: "Do you remember the extraordinary power of the Nine Red Scabbards? The one with leadership skills among them, Kinemon, is a man with a quick and smart mind! ""They will revive after these 20 years and get prepared!!! In order to take my head!!! "His men don't care a bit about his words.Orochi mentions the Yokotsuna incident in Kuri, the fact that Jack's henchmen were attacked, and the soba-stand incident (Sanji), the fact that Yakuza were attacked by the Ronin (Zoro). "They were all directed by Kinemon behind the curtain!"Upon hearing Orochi's words, Kyroshiro tells him "I wish the Kinemon's Nine Red Scabbards appear! I'll take them down without even blinking."Orochi immediately praises Kyroshiro and continues: "Oden died in front of my eyes but his son is still alive! No one has ever found that brat's corpse! The bloodline of the Kouzuki Clan has not been ended! They are still working to revive the Kouzuki Clan! I believe that they want Kaido's head too."His men are trying very hard not to laugh. They think that their boss is delusional. And they hear laughing - from O-toko.Orochi is furious for someone laughing at him. He wants to kill O-toko but Komurasaki stands out and stops him.Orochi still wields his sword. Komurasaki stands in front of O-toko and slaps Orochi right on his face.Everyone is panicked and one of them tells Komurasaki to "kneel and apologize immediately".Komurasaki is dead serious and says: "I will not bend my knees to anyone! You can kill me, a harmless woman, but I'm a samurai's daughter and I will never yield or surrender!"Orochi is so furious that he turns into Yamata no Orochi. Komurasaki is facing danger. At the same time, Oniwabanshu finds Robin. Everything is in chaos, and Kyroshiro clenches the hilt of his katana. END.

No break next week.

Aaaaaaaand we're back to "Blablabla" and "Lets keep name dropping these long and hard to remember names."

Thanks for your contributions Big Mom, see you in the hopefully near future.

Also, too much off-screening has been happening in this arc.

Shiiiiit the suspense is killing me, the build up has been pretty intense. Wano's climax is looking to be quite a spectacular one with each new chapter.

What I'm most looking forward to for the anime is the music. I take it the piece Komurasaki plays will be one of melancholy yet haunting beauty.
