Soylent daily got to the tranny island episode. Shockingly…..he said drag queens naturally being terrible was bad and he dinny liked.
Comments condemning it and attacking sanji running away. Why? Cause sanji’s a straight guy who likes women. The trannies did nothing wrong, running away is obviously “toxic white male behavior”.

WHEN did oda say he pussied out and apologized for contributing to “literal trans genocide”? Them speaking for a decade of the story that they never paid attention to until now when it started getting cool to like trannies is just asinine. looks more and more like king harold ended up defying imu at last second and to prevent the destruction of elbaf loki took the fall. also im curious to see what happens next now that luffy and company are finally aware that bad things are going down. if luffy uses gear 5 will this be the first time imu sees him doing joyboy/nika stuff? i dont think he ever actually saw luffy do things on egghead

No, no, yes, yes. Luffy ate the human-human fruit: model Nika, a mythical zoan fruit. The idea is that it grants you the freedom to fight however you want based on the myths surrounding Nika. Each "gear" is another way for him to fight how he wants to. Extreme speed, giant limbs, "boundman" and "snakeman," and the awakened form which lets him go Looney Tunes on his enemies. Luffy is not some prophesized child, because that was Ace. The devil fruit isn't some prophesized weapon to destroy the shadow government, it's the concentrated wishes for the return of the guy who gave the WG the most trouble, without realizing that the guy in question was probably as retarded and carefree as the guy who ate his fruit.

Tankman is faaaar more situational. You need have a lot of hard structures to slam the victim into in order to deal significant amount of damage. Cracker was summoning an endless supply of hard biscuit warriors meaning that Tankman could be used at full power and it was the only viable skill Luffy had against him.

Well, the fact it's explicitly called the "Full Version" implies there's a normal version of it he can use at any time that we just never got to see. And I doubt Luffy would make an entire form that'd only have one attack.

Doubt it too but some moves are going to be less useful.
 
@Cryogonal2 if Luffy isn’t Joy Boy, then why did Zunesha say that “Joy Boy has returned!” when Luffy first unlocked Gear 5? Why did we get a flashback to when Kaido said Joy Boy was the one who’d beat him, after Luffy dealt the final blow?

Zunesha recognized the heartbeat as that of Joy Boy's from when he had last seen him. It's possible Joy Boy told his friends and followers to wait for him, that he'll return to them, and they held on to that against all odds.

As for Kaido, he was certain based on the legends that only Joy Boy can ever defeat him. Well, Luffy has the power of Joy Boy, so he was able to power through by the skin of his teeth, but he is not Joy Boy himself.

If that’s the case, wouldn’t it be funny if The One Piece was just Joy Boy in some kind of prolonged slumber? Assuming the final war won’t be settled before the treasure is found.

Zunesha is a geriatric elephant with dementia, and Kaido is a dramatic retard. Luffy is not Joy Boy, but his fruit lets him turn into the legends made about Jables, "drums of liberation" and everything. To be super autist, it's like how Vegapunk condemns his artificial Dragon-Dragon fruit because its dragon form is pink, rather than blue because DRAGONS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE BLUE GOD DAMN IT. If there was a Human-Human fruit modeled after Oda Nobunaga, you wouldn't literally turn into him, you'd turn into the romanticized retellings of his history.

luffy is joyboy and nika in the same way that sabo is ace. he has the fruit that belonged to the previous user but is still his own person. or at least that is how i see it. also some some reason im not sold on zunesha being a regular elephant. part of me wonders if he was a giant that got turned into an elephant.
 
I assumed Zunesha just recognized the awakened Gum-Gum or the drum of liberation.

My guess at it is that Nika is a mythological figure who is an amalgamation of everyone who awakened the gum gum fruit, where as JoyBoy was just the last person before Luffy to do it. So JoyBoy and Luffy are both Nika but Luffy isn't JoyBoy.
