In short, no matter how much we see about the big questions, they’re not going to be completely answered until a very specific time because Luffy is the key to all of it, and there’s no way to tell the exact role he’s going to play because good luck trying to get him to go along with a plan that isn’t his.
Didn't mean to imply that i am hoping that we will get all the answers but i do agree here. I feel like the way Oda is playing it is like all the answers that will be answered will be serviced for the audience and Luffy will be a destiny of his own. He will "deny" the prophecy in his own way but at the same time will still be the one to fulfill something because of the way he is. He will be the one to carve out his own destiny with the powers and status of "Joy Boy" but his unpredictability will accentuate the whole lesson (at least one of them) of One Piece which is following your own dreams in your own way.

Goddamn it, Brook.

Like how the rest of the S.Hs got to do something even if it is getting clowned on by Gunko who has a cool Devil Fruit
And now we wait for the Monster Duo/Trio to show up and save the day like they always do.

FUCKING CALLED IT!!! Harald promised them the Giants!
I find it interesting that Gunko repeated Whitebeard’s line about “battle that will engulf the entire world”, along with saying that the giants being the allies will be vital. So that may explain why the children are being taken away.

So now we wait for Luffy to snap out of his food coma. And then it’s going back to dealing with Loki using Luffy logic. Hopefully it happens before Oda’s next break.

Also, with Brook knowing about the God’s Knights, I have to wonder if “D.” happens to relate to things like “Devil” or “demon” if it’s not going to be something relating to “Dawn”

Doflamingo said that too. I think that the CDs also have a prophecy like that and are preparing for it.

My theory is that it means something different for each person/family.

I'm sorry to quote such an old post but I know absolutely nothing about One Piece and am browsing highlights on my lunchbreak, is this panel as funny in context because what I see is a twink simping in front of a deer
No, it's a serious moment leading up to a serious arc, but it's a critical moment that leads the character to some of his funniest moments in the series.

Because simping is funny.

honestly lol
I say it is cool but god are they struggling with just Gunko who seems like she should be easy work for just them
Hasn’t it been established that God’s Knights are among the best of the best? From what I’ve seen, Usopp and Nami usually perform at their best when they face the minions of the main villain of the saga, like what happened with Dressrosa and Wano.

They did? All I remember is them having a treasure that could be devastating if combined with Law’s Devil Fruit. Which I think is the actual source of Imu’s powers.

jinbe alone should probably be merking gunko, but i guess oda needs to show us what her powers do first before we get to any of that
this has likely been said before but the tension in this arc doesnt really feel that high between luffy, zoro, sanji, jinbe, loki(?), scopper, the other giants, etc all being on the same side, not to mention the high probability of shanks showing up. either god's knights are going to turn out to be crazy (im expecting this for shamrock) or theyre gonna have to rely on dirty tricks to get the upper hand

Speculation on my part. I doubt that Imu does not know of a prophecy like that.

It feels like a cool off period after Wano and Egghead since maybe Oda was thinking not to go from crazy af arc to another crazy af arc completely with extreme set pieces. Setting up things for the end game i suppose.

Probably. But hasn’t Elbaf and Loki been hyped up since East Blue? That payoff has to happen right? (Assuming the Elbaf payoff isn’t lore things like the mural and talking about “alliance with the giants is key to the final war”. Meanwhile, Loki hasn’t been seen in action and all we’ve had is the reasoning why he’s in chains and Luffy ignoring pleas to keep him chained because of Luffy Logic.)

I'd say we are still a little early into the arc where all things are starting to be revealed since usually when the S.H's arrive at a place it takes a bit for things to start going haywire. In recent arcs however things have been jumping off a little quicker but as @toxidevil said the tension doesn't really feel too high....just yet i might add. As an audience we've seen the crazy shit and know there will be crazy shit.

When you put it like that, I think back to Egghead where a lot of time was dedicated to Luffy going crazy over the futuristic things Vegapunk created, and then we get Lucci and company arriving, leading Luffy to go Gear 5 and Vegapunk to tell the other SHs about Nika.

about this time in egghead we were probably dealing with York being little shitstain, dont forget how quickly that arc went from "Zero to all 5 Elders wrecking havok during a buster call"

Also the arrow direction thing is a usually pretty dangerous power, i wanna say it showed up in Jojo at one point and fucked people up.

It also showed up in Demonslayer an fucked up the main character pretty good.

No, it was at Little Garden for the Giants as a whole and Totto Land for Loki in particular. Still, very early. Other things were introduce later and paid off earlier like Wano and Vegapunk.
