I would file that more as people being tongue in cheek. No, I do not think she got the job by sucking dick. I do think she's getting a surprising amount of attention for her work for being a cute woman and I wouldn't be surprised at all if it was happening more in the west than in Japan.

I'll put it this way. Do you see anybody talking about the director of the first 4 episodes of Dandadan? Me neither, and those are fire. Is fan letter bad? No, I enjoyed it and found it cute even if the end was a mess. Am I annoyed that speople are saying that "Ishitani delivers again!" When you look at her filmography and help but wonder what that "again" is supposed to relate to? Yes. Do I think she can do great things? Who knows, but I've certainly seen a lot worse, so I can see her earning it in a few more projects.

I wouldn't even call this a culture war thing, this is "cute girl gets more attention than disgusting neet, news at 11" sort of thing, I was just surprised at how hyped she was by name compared to what is in her portfolio.

Doesn't help we have a 2 week rest in OP and the only thing to really talk about is Fan Letter or just general sperging.

More on topic... does anybody have a decent theory of what Yamato's cover story is heading towards? Reminds me of the Jinbei one that just felt like meandering around for the most part.

The theft is either something completely innocent or some Kurozumi supporters are behind it. Could go either way.

One that I heard floating around was some of the animal kingdom still being there like Ulti or Page One. But so much of the cover story just feels like a tour of how everyone is doing in Wano that I don't discount there not being much more to it.

It is worth noting we didn't see any of the higher ups aside from King and Queen in Udon. Jack and the Tobiroppo are all unaccounted for. Why they'd be kidnapping people and stealing swords, I have no clue, but unless it's some new character I see few other options. Unless Kanjuro didn't actually die yet again.

Yeah, that's why I'm lost in all of this, I don't really see much of where this is supposed to be going towards. Hell, even if Kanjuro lives and wants to do some damage it all seems so... low key. Reminds me a lot more on how Caribou does things if anything "somebody vanishes here, something vanishes there" but he's very much accounted for somewhere else.

Unless... Oda is fucking with us and time perception and he's actually showing us Teach looking into Pluto. But this is me reaching so hard I could start a youtube channel

I disagree. It would have a ton more unpopular opinions and other things i'll share.
In English, where can you get those? I can only find the first 10 chapters uploaded in English 99% in searches.

Yeah, it didn't get picked up mostly in English(I just assume the reason is cause it's fanmade). Just italian, mandarin and chinese prints got out. But i've seen chapters 11-14 have english translated panels, so there 's a site I'm not finding.

I'm OK with it. Oda's rest periods are never anything too bad unlike Togashi or Miura had and I rather he focus on his health. He still has way too much to cover and god forbid he overexerts himself. I just hope he finishes in a decent timeframe to enjoy a well deserved rest after it's done.

Wasn't even aware this was a thing to be honest. Did a quick search and have read chapter 1 and it's fun. Luffy wanting to recruit Wanze upon meeting him certainly tracks. Thought it was going to be even wackier at a glance since it kind of reminded me of Carnival Phantasm with more smaller sketches.

On a quick search found it in mangadex and yeah, first 11 chapters or so. I imagine it's one of those things that scanners for whatever reason don't have enough interest to tackle. Or maybe since it's licensed they rather prioritize other series since I've seen the argument in the past. I'll count my blessings that the full spinoff of Sanji cooking made by the Shokugeki No Soma author is easy to find and was pretty enjoyable.

Scratchmen Apoo is still unaccounted for, he might be doing dumb shit in Wano instead of heading back out to sea, given that he gave up and and threw his lot in with Kaido (and we didn't get an update on him other than him telling Kid and Law about Luffy being their better).

Basil Hawkins might have a chance of showing up too, since people we think were dead (and had damn good scenes for it too) somehow aren't (like Bellamy, Pound, Sabo, that fucker with the Brain-Brain Fruit, etc).

I do hope Hawkins is dead and buried. Kind of wasted but he doesn't really add much else anymore anyway. But yes, it's OP also known as "only Ace stays dead (and Monet and Vergo)".

Still also hoping Uroge will do something so all of the supernovas are accounted for as being active participants.

Do people dislike Fan Letters stylization? I thought it was fine. A little bad at times when Luffy and others smear a bit too much to convey motion, but I liked the storyboarding and lighting.

I don’t get why people are ragging on it because some chick directed it and she has simp followers. It was fun.

@Trombonista Is there something I’m not getting here? I am confused and going to post more Garp rapist stuff because of this.

I'm pretty sure Apoo and Hawkins are done regardless of they're dead or alive. Abandoning their ambition to bend the knee to Kaido was their end.
